It corrupts the free market, Intel's outright bribery of PC manufactures crippled AMD in the early 2000's, they were practically paying OEM's to use their CPU's because AMD's were simply better, Intel

gave Dell up to $1Bn a year. Nvidia doesn't seem to care about their costumers and is propriety in nature. I simply don't want to support that.

For me personally I go for whoever has the best technology, innovates the most, and is likely to sustain said innovation. Reliability and customer support also matter.  If they innovate and change the market through proprietary technology - then so be it, as long as there is strides and pushes forward.

How about not buying from any manufacturer then...

Because obviously you have been ignoring AMD's marketing for the past decade xD

AMD doesn't have a monopoly to exploit and I can't recall anything anti-competitive, I prefer to think of it as the lesser of two evils.

Linus or Luke should go check it out and give us a tour on it. Maybe in their vlog or something.

"We already have computers, why do we need internet on our phones?"

Good point, but we had a need for something that has internet and could do small tasks on the go. Otherwise laptops would not have been a thing. I don't get where the need for this fridge comes from?

Tech isn't about needs, it's about wants. I'd much prefer to have a recipe on the fridge than to use my smartphone.

True, cars are the first thing I think of with that statement. They never needed computers, but that massive tablet in the middle sure sells.

IoT is just starting to get around to our daily applicances. It might seems silly now, but I can see a great deal of potential, but we need a bigger change in how we interface with technology.

Again, with good comes the bad. It will be listening! No more private kitchen talk..

i mean, it's convenient, and hell i always forget what i need to buy from the store, so the camera telling me what i might need is really handy. 20 years from now, something like this will be necessary.

I don't see the speakers. A fridge should have some decent sound to it, it's pretty big.

The entire based is subwoofer along with outer and inner facing speakers located in each of the 4 fridge compartments. Enjoy steak like never before by playing your favorite tunes (Darude Sandstorm at full blast), as it tenderize the meat with sound. :P

Now that is just the tip of the iceberg. I can see coming with suggested recipes, of course based on ones liking.

Now, all the fun is first starting, when you put all the IoT devices together in a ecosystem.

Saw on TV once where they introduced the MS smart kitchen.  Put a ingredients and a pan on the smart countertop and it will show you a list of recipes that can be used with those items.

with the fridge, you can use that camera to suggest you recipes based on what's in the fridge. i think that could be a really neat feature.
