Uh I hate to pick because it's so hard

hug0mac

Hi! I need a graphics card.

  • I got a 60hz 1080p monitor
  • I got not more than 400$ to spend
  • I don't want to buy a new card in 3-4 years
  • I only got a 550 watt power supply

I want to play all from 2D games to GTA V as solid as possible. I'm also afraid of coil wine that is too loud and I'm affraid of AMD

Get a 390 with a 550W PSU, we've seen far, far crazier.

Benchmarks don't lie.  And the 390 has 8GB of Vram vs the 970's 3.5 usable.

Maybe because the G600W is a lot worse than a G2 550W

Why 390... Explain to me why I should get it.

Because it performs slightly better than the 970, is slightly cheaper and has twice the amount of VRam.

But I will never use 8GB anyway... /=

But you just asked for 3-4 years longevity. No one here has any idea how much VRam is needed in 3-4 years.

Yes, yes we do. His profile lists his PSU as a EVGA G2 550W

390. 8GB Vram, better (supposed) DX12 performance, faster overall..

Hmm that is true with the "future" thing of vram

We don't really know the OP's PSU quality tho...

It's a 550 G2...

390x

980 performance

That is very nice but how come it's so much cheaper? Must be something strange... Too good to be true for me

You never know. Maybe 8GB of VRAM will be the new 4GB in the next few years.
