My Nightmare

Last night, I had a dream in which I died, but I didnt wake up with the death as normal, my dream carried out a concept of afterlife. One that made me cry harder than I ever have before.

In the dream, I fell asleep at my office desk, and woke up to find my body dead, I was a ghost. I turn around to see the angel of death behind me. He was actually a pretty chill guy, didnt look like the standard idea of a grim reaper at all. Just your average mid 20s guy, in a T shirt and shorts, with an angel of death nametag on his breast.

And so, I soon found myself in heaven, or at least a version of it that I can comprehend. Sounds like an alright dream so far, right? Well... The realization hit me, my loved ones back in the land of the living would miss me... One of them an athiest, who would be completely distraught. None ever to see me again until their own time passes..

I cried in empathy...

I dont fear death... I fear separation...

Reminds me of a dream where I was walking in the darkness endlessly, I had a feeling that light was slowly running out.

loss is my worst fear, especially from the ones you love.

I don't fear death, I fear loss.

Hell (no pun intended), if @Minibois died I'd be sad, because I knew him as an acquaintance and his loss to me would be well, sad because he provided some emotional aspect to my life.

Loss if devastating for anyone and if someone disappeared from here without leaving a trace, I'd be sad they were not here. You may think I might not notice but I do get upset when I don't see some people I consider friends on sometimes. It could even be any of you guys.

That is certainly a rather "exciting" dream of sorts. I'll share you my dreams, often those that are repeated.

 

This one dream I have is of me standing still, looking through my eyes as everything races past me on my left and right, it's all just a blur...so I can't tell what it is that's racing past me. This continues and gains speed and than a hear a male voice whisper my name and I wake up from the dream very startled as you'd imagine. It's like clock-work in it's repetitiveness.

Well let me just share my opinon on this, however popular or not it is.

 

I dont beleive in any after death anything.

I beleive when you die, you are gone. Nothing. And that brings me to a previous post I made

 


Without life, there would be nothing, and one can not conceptualize that. Nothing. What is nothing? Seems like an easy question. But when you think about it, what would it be like if you didnt exist? It wouldent. It wouldent anything, as you would not exist. I can not imagine nothing, and I dont think anyone else can.

That bring me back to the meaning of life. There is none.

However, if you want to beleive there is, believe the meaning of life is to prevent nothingness.

 

And. this may be the more unpopular part.

I dont really care that much about loss.

granted, i have not lost somone that close to me, but I lost both my grandma's. And I wasnt even sad.

 

Selfish?
Yes.

 

But, what is the point in not being selfish?
You help other people why? To make yourself feel good.

 

So in a way, everyone is selfish. There is no point in being otherwise. Why expend pain and energy on something that doesnt benifit you in any way?
