When you pre order a season pass, for example BlackOps 3 season pass, do you get the game and the extra DLC or just the DLC without the game?

It means you get all dlc packs for free. Not the game.

 

For example, Halo 3 + Season pass might be 100$, and it would mean you get the game and ALL dlc to be released for it. Unless the season pass says "only first [x] number of dlc launches"

For Call of Duty games, this will be the 4 map packs. Not the micro DLC camo's and stuff

Yes. No game, just the four main DLC's. (which would be 15 euros/dollars a piece otherwise, so with the season pass being 50 euros/dollars that is a bit cheaper than buying the DLC's a part)
