So I was Surfing On the Web And Found This Awesome Site.

 

It lets you type in a password then It would show you how long it would take an average desktop PC To crack it.

 

I Have 2 Main Passwords, One Would Take around 2 quadrillion Years to Crack (With 278 nonillion (Yes That is a Number) possible combinations) and The Other Would take around 26 Million Years. It gives you all the information about how many possible combinations and allows you to choose how fast it can solve them (The Default is 4 Billion Per Second). You can Tweet Your Results After If You Wish!

Also I found a website that tells you the most common passwords Of 2014, If your's is one of these - Change it!

This may actually a legitimate website, i've used it before about 2 years ago and I haven't been hacked/bla... I may have been a stupid kid..

And when you type your password into it you pretty much reduce those quadrillions to a couple of months. No password cracking software would ever guess by one letter alone, which this website calculates. They use presets and predictable words first. That's why bank passwords and stuff is in as random as possible number and letter combinations, you can't guess it.

The math they use is very simple btw - we learned that in high school - probability calculation and number of combinations - it's relatively simple beginner stuff. I'd laugh if you actually needed a shady site to tell you those things.

The problem with this website is this. In 10 years time the processing power of a standard desktop PC will have double or trippled,ect ect. Meaning that in lets say a 100 years time if you did the same test that original 100 million bazillion quadrillion years becomes..... a mere 15 minutes.
