CNN will live stream the Democratic debates in VR

This is really cool that there pushing this kind of technology, Hopefully this will push others to follow and improve VR all aroung. -- @Mbarton cnn.jpg

 

 

"CNN has announced that it's going to live stream the full Democratic presidential debate in VR on October 13th. The move comes after the success of VR highlight clips that the channel made available following the recent Republican debate. As with the previous event, the network has teamed up with NextVR, letting users of Samsung's GearVR to experience the hot, political action as if they were sat in the Las Vegas audience. CNN hasn't revealed if it's planning to ask Bernie Sanders to leap towards the camera to make the whole thing more immersive, but a little part of us can hope, right? --by Daniel Cooper

This experience is now available to users who have a Samsung GearVR virtual reality headset by visiting the NextVR portal in the Oculus Store. While it is interesting to see VR being used in anything, but why do you want this in VR? I bet there will be some people who want to slap Donald Trump just for fun with this. ;)

 

Edit: I don't know what political party he's in because I don't do politics.

Cool but... Why VR for a debate? Seems like there would be better things to film in VR, like F1.

Who the fuck sits in their room with their VR headset listening/watching Politics Debate and say lies to get more votes... 

You have a good point but a VR Headset could easily be your phone and google cardboard and for someone deep into politics it might be nice to look around and see hou people react to questions

This entire election turned into a joke when everyone in the media and in politics decided that Trump would be the main target of their debauchery when he merely stated facts and his own opinions and beliefs.

I guess. Considering that the only difference between them and the republicans is their false promises and specific things they lie about....

If only the people would wake up and take back the country from Congress, the Media, the Executive branch, and the Judicial branch. The media is the biggest issue, because even if we collectively nullified the current three branches and called a convention of states, the media and corporations would undoubtedly ensure we end up with the same system.

 

This is why I hope for a complete and total societal, and economic collapse. The only thing that can solve our problems is complete chaos, an equalizer, a time when the rich, the powerful, and the poor are all dependent upon themselves for their own survival for AT LEAST a few years.
