Competitive used PS3 price?

d3sl91

I am trying to find a PS3 Slim (original, not the Super Slim). 120GB+ Including bluetooth controller.

What should I be willing to pay for this, if I'm willing to hunt and watch for a good deal. I know I could throw down $80 and get one in 2 seconds... but I'm willing to wait for a decent deal.

How does $50 sound?

50 seems too little really, I don't think someone would be welling to sell that cheap. Maybe 100-80 dollars?

well... think about it this way: the cheaper ones are usually cheaper because something is wrong with them. (like filled with half a cat worth of fur)

50 is too damn low. Because these original 'fat' systems can play PS1 games (and I believe PS2 too) they go for quite a bit. Even though they are often very beat up.

I would say 80 is a good price, 65 or so may be a starting point, but they may not even include a controller at that price..

Try looking around in some thrift stores and stuff too, they sometimes have them

Thanks for the input. Knowing that spending upwards of 80 for a unit with controller isn't a bad deal helps me know what to look for.

I am currently bidding on a US-Based thrift store online auction. Looks like they are going for 50-75 depending on what's included. Theres a $75 unit about to sell in 3 hours that is this:

We'll see what I can get for a slim + controller I'm bidding on! Shipping is killing me though.

I was half interested in the originals for PS2 compatibility, but I know deep down i will likely use this as a netflix + blue ray player 90% of the time. So smaller + quieter is more important. Can always get a PS2 for about $20 if needed from a friend.
