Techie's phones

Flashie

Im basically an IT Technician doing fixes and builds privately, thats 4 year old phone is slowly succumbing these past few days.
Soon its just a matter of time before i'm back in the stores looking for a new phone to be productive on.

I walked into a few stores a day or two ago, and noticed the lack of proper phones out there [in my country] - so i took it the best option would be, like most, to order it online and await its delivery.

But now i sit with the challenge - What phone to get?

So, I'd like to hear what all you other techies use as your mobile device to keep productive on

Feel free to share.

I like tinkering with my devices, so the zenfone 2 is an obvious choice for me. If instead you are looking for something that works just fine out of the box and gets work done (assuming you mean stuff like emails and browsing catalogues) then you'll be fine with something cheaper like a galaxy s3 or a huawei ascend p8.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Android

- MotoX Play/Style

- OnePlusTwo

- ASUS Zenfone 2

- Any Nexus device (unless you find them quite big)

Windows

HTC One M7. this thing is a beast basically. currently i'm running NuSenSeven on it with Xposed framework. i have it for over a year now and it has never let me down! :D

EDIT: never used a M8 or M9 tough, so i don't know how those are.

In terms of specs, it's hard to ignore the iPhone 6s. The cpu is second to none, the gpu most likely as well. Force touch seems like the future, at least according to Anandtech. Being a tock in the tick tock releases, this is the phone to get.
