Video Editing Software . What does LTT forums suggest?

amd133mhz

So I have used Sony Vegas HD 9 (not great) iMovie 9 (before apple ruined it) and I liked i Movie even with its limits and I am looking for something a little bit better than iMovie to edit for a youtube channel.

I recently sold my imac as it had outlived its usefulness and I am running everything, music, edit, work, gaming on my pc. I am running a amd fx 8320 clocked constantly at 4ghz with a gtx 980 and 8gb ddr3 1866 ram

I am looking for something with the ease of use of iMovie, but I need it to output render 1080p 60fps if possible. I am going to be using a Canon hf r600 as my camera. I am going to be using a lav mic and soft boxes etc for production. I want to splice and edit nothing crazy. I typically shoot a video with my standing and talking. Maybe add in pics or switch to pictures briefly basic stuff. Not looking for special effects or even chroma as I plan on standing in from of solid white (similar to what Techquickie does) I have done youtube before quite extensively and went off camera for a time and have used xsplit and a mic to create my videos. I am going back in front of the camera and want to step up quality

What say you? I have looked at sony vegas pro but 300 is a bit rich for my blood. I am looking at $75-200 max.I would love to be at 100-150 though. I looked at the adobe subscription service but premier just seems like overkill.

Please help me. :)

Thanks

I personally like Vegas pro 13, but premiere pro is good too i just don't have much experience with it and dislike monthly payments.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

It's some great software, seriously powerful and decently affordable.

Unlike the 1.2K i dropped on a license for one modeling program.

not gonna lie...this program is free but not very stable.Runs like crap on my rig. but thanks tho!

edit: I want to be more specific. It DOES work and for free its pretty impressive. I meant to say is that its draw backs on my rig are keeping me looking elsewhere and I do thank you for the suggestion.
