Gaming CPU needed?

I was thinking of building a gaming pc, and I was wondering if Intel is better than AMD or is AMD better than Intel.

I have been choosing between a AMD FX-8320 and a ​Intel Core i5-4690K.

I've heard a lot about how a Intel chip is way better than a AMD FX chip.

Although a AMD chip is cheaper, is it sill better than an Intel chip?

I will appreciate all the help I can get and personal opinions.

The AMD chip is cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Go for the i5 4690k, it's a much, MUCH better performing chip and it should last you at least three years.
