Tor is things of past, Here comes Hornet

jos
I heard they sell guns and drugs there...[/quote

And people.

And we can't forget the screwed up porn that's hosted there

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Fair enough. DARPA invests and/or helps invent so much of the shit we use today. If I recall correctly, it's intended use back then was for Allied Intelligence Agencies (CIA, NSA, MI5, MI6, CSEC, etc) to be able to securely communicate while in "dangerous" territory.

I found this article. It was U.S. Navy research laboratory that created Tor. http://www.eweek.com/security/tor-puts-nsa-at-odds-with-browsers-us-navy-creators-other-agencies.html

@Trik'Stari forgive for not knowing but does DARPA have anything to do with the Navy? I'm not sure what role they may have had in developing or creating it but I didn't really look either.

Edit: I looked on Tor's sponsors page and it list DARPA and ONR via Naval Research Laboratory (2001-2006) and just Naval Research Laboratory (2006-2010) among many others.

Im Not Self Taught,I Had A Class In School And This Is How I Was Told To Type,After 8 Years Its Became A Habit

In relation to it being a habit, you need to actively work to break that habit.  If you shouted every word you spoke, no one would want to deal with you.  In this case you are the problem, you need to change it, no one else is going to put up with it in any kind of professional setting.  It makes you look ignorant or incompetent, and completely distracts from your message.  It doesn't matter what you say, it's how you say it.

Imagine sending an email with that kind of typing to your CEO and all your managers in a company? One way ticket out the front door :P

Was just thinking this myself.  I would end any business relationship real quick if I got an email like that.  More likely I wouldn't even look at the resume if I saw typing like that first.

We have had people almost fired for simply sounding stupid in emails.  And they were actually really smart in person, they just couldn't type well.  Dude was an old field engineer, with like 20 years in this specific job.  Typed out an email like a middle schooler, almost cost him his job.  They only didn't fire him cause he was too hard to replace, but he basically had to email everything to a coworker/supervisor that would retype everything for him.  Corporate doesn't care what your reason is, you are just a number.

But why would they make a website like that.....

Are you asking why someone wouldn't want their website to show up in Google when they clearly aren't doing anything that horribly illegal? Privacy reasons. Say it's a way of accessing your home server (I know it's horrible you should be using a VPN but that's not the point) or it's a dev forum for working on a project you don't want other people to immediately find out about, stuff like that are why someone would make a website like that.

Edit: Also since Tor doesn't seem to be completely safe, I'm wondering if Hornet will be any different.

Also websites for small local organizations that aren't necessarily looking for a worldwide audience.

If you're website is only for specific real life people you know, then having it not searchable via search engine can help against keeping trolls away from your site.

I'll be checking this, Tor has been quite slow from day 1 and it's really frustrating from time to time.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

No, what I meant was why "Dark" web exist?

Yeah, it's not shown in search engine. But what makes we wonder is why was it made? What was the purpose of it....

Because some people can be or want to be absolutely hideous and want to be able to do something that humanity at large had outlawed and with good reason.
