Have you actually tried these PSU's ? this list seem like biased bs

I feel like nobody wants to actually be the test monkey of them tier OVER 9000 Diablotek units.

Nah

But his list isn't biased in any way. He isn't paid by anybody to say anything put on it. Good units make the cut and bad units do not.

Rebrands

Some PSUs are rebrands of another or based on very similar platforms. Between PSUs of the same platform you can expect very similar build quality, internal components, and electrical performance. Features and warranty may vary by brands, often with the rebranded version offering more features like modularity, hybrid fan mode, and/or software monitoring on top of the original PSU.

Seasonic Platinum

Corsair AX

Be Quiet Dark Power Pro P10 850

EVGA PS

Seasonic X

XFX XTR/ProSeries Gold 1050/1250

Be Quiet Dark Power Pro P10 1000/1200

Seasonic G/S12G

Antec EDGE, TruePower Classic

Cooler Master V-series (fully modular)

EVGA GS

XFX TS Gold, Pro Gold, Pro XXX, XTR

Seasonic S12II/M12II

Antec High Current Gamer, Neo ECO

XFX TS Bronze, ProSeries Bronze, Core

Super Flower Golden Green/King

EVGA B2

Rosewill Capstone, Lightning, Tachyon, Silent Night

PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III

Super Flower Leadex

EVGA G2, P2, T2

FSP Raider

EVGA NEX Bronze

Fractal Integra

FSP Aurum Gold

EVGA NEX Gold "G1" 650/750

NZXT HALE90 V2

ThermalTake ToughPower Gold

FSP Aurum Pro

EVGA NEX 1000G

CWT

Honestly too confusing to have a list of. Basically their bronze models are similar, and gold models for the most part are similar, with the exception of the quite darn good HXi and RMi from Corsair. Note that the CX750 is a different platform then the rest of the CX. It is based on the GS platform.

To be continued

Not much has change since I had been away...Oh well. Since it had conflicted with a few discussions I have with people since I've been away from the site and it had been bothering me, here's a few correction as well as requests on the rebrands.

NZXT Hale90v2 = FSP AAG - a server platform.

Cooler Master V 700/850/1000 = Seasonic X KM3

Cooler Master V1200 = Seasonic Platinum XP3

There are also a few more fully modular Cooler Master V series that just had been release from Enhance Electronics. Some of which have the same model as the Seasonic (V850/1000/1200). Maybe make a note of that somewhere?

Can you make a clear distinction that only the XFX XTR 550-750w is a Seasonic G, while the EVGA 850w (KM3) and 1050/1250 (XM) is part of the X series?

EVGA GS 550/650 is not Seasonic G. It's a new platform that Seasonic has yet to announced, AFAIK. If you look at the internal, you would see that it's a different layout than the G series, and it is not a modification exclusively for EVGA either, as Cyonic had also utilized this platform on their AU series.

The EVGA GS 750/850 (KM3) and 1200 (XP2) are part of the X series .

XFX Pro XXX is a semi modular unit that is either silver or bronze. S

Silver unit is Seasonic M12D

Bronze is M12II-B SS-*50AM.

Can you also differentiate S12II/M12II 380-620w and the S12II / M12II 650-850 models (SS-*50AT/AM)?

PCP&C Silencer MKIII 400-600w = M12II-B 380-620.

750/850 = Super Flower Golden Green.

1200w = Golden King

The Thermaltake Toughpower Gold TPD-0*50M are CWT CSG (which are solid units), while the Thermaltake TPG TP-*50P are FSP Aurum Gold / CM.

Hi, I have an option to buy "XFX TS 750W 80+ Gold" or "XFX XXX PRO Edition 750W 80+ Bronze MODULAR". Which one should I choose? Would it be best to buy gold version? Because I would rather buy modular one to not make my PC inside a big mess of cables, but on the other hand I need at least 600W for my PC.

I'd suggest setting the Smart SE to "meh" rather than dangerous or at least make another barely pass category since I've used it before and while the PSU itself was "fine" as in it worked and it was stable, it had coil whine so I replaced it. I also think the S12G from seasonic might not be absolute best but maybe that's just me getting a slightly noise fan (it makes a ticking noise whenever it feels like it, I am positive it's the fan, it spins down with PC going in sleep mode and spins up when booting - the noise I mean). I have tried pushing the center of the fan and while that seems to have gotten the lubricant unstuck or whatever, I am not 100% sure yet. Will give it a day or so at least. As for others I have experience with, you could add the CM Elite series 1 to the "meh" list. While it's not great quality, my old one is still going after 4 years of continuous use.

I know I k ow really old post. But the ticking noise is probably a relay

Could be - it was operating sort of normally but coil whined a lot and with the 35*C temp tolerance i got rid of it

Get whichever is cheaper for you. The PRO is a lot better but it's not worth spending, say, 50% more on.

In my country TS costs (in our currency) 397, and XXX costs 409 so I can spend a little more no problem. But is there a big diference in 80+ gold or 80+ bronze? I know it means 85% and 90% efficiency, but right now I want a GOOD PSU because I have artefacts in my new GPU and I wan't to check if it's not a weak PSU fault, and 90% looks better than 85%.

No, the Bronze is less efficient than Gold. It'll make a marginal difference on your power bill so don't let that be your reasoning for choosing one over the other.

So let me get this right:

TS = 397

Pro = 409 ?

If the Pro is 12 more then get the Pro.
