@STRMfrmXMN you never responded about that 80+ Silver thing... I told someone else that they were just rounding them to bronze and gold these days and they found counter examples:

Didn't see that, huh. However, nowhere on the be Quiet is there anything about Silver efficiency, just a percentage. Ecova (based here in Portland) doesn't certify Silver anymore so I think that has to do with it, might still exist in Europe.

Well I'll keep a lookout for it but you'd be hard pressed to find much else these days with the cert.

I don't mind.

 

It may be worth mentioning that there are times I have to be away from site though due to my busy schedule, but I'll try to get back them if they do PM me.

Is a 750W EVGA B2 within your budget? Maybe a 650W GQ?

If you can afford a 980ti then you can afford a good PSU to go with it. Just how it goes.

The G550 works, but is it cheaper than an EVGA B2 or GQ?

I'd highly recommend spending an additional 20 dollars on a 650W GQ personally.

You can get the B2 used for about that much. If tha isn't available to you, check to see if you can get a Corsair RM for that much then grab the G550 if not.
