Loudest Part in Your Rig?

jamesisninja

my CPU fans are the most noisy since I use two and on full load they go ballistic, aside from stress testing though, my rig is pretty quiet for an air cooled system.

you can hardly hear my GPU at all (cheapo brando ftw) my PSU doesn't even make a sound, I'd swear the fan was always off if I didn't check it a while back.

The loudest part that used to be in my rig was my exhaust fan, it sounded like a Jet lifting off so I took it out, my system still runs as cool as anyone could want with an ambient temperature of around 20-40 Celsius during the summer it doesn't go past 75.

My PSU sometimes has coil whine and it's noticeably louder than my case fans or my CPU's watercooler fan running at full speed (gotta love Noctua fans)

May the Force be with you.

The fans for the CPUs...

The worst offender for a LONG time was the stock AMD cooler, until I kicked it out and replaced it with an artic cooler that runs quite slow and quiet. Now the loudest parts are the case fans, creating an audible but pleasant breeze on idle and a bit more noticeable sound at full loud, but nothing that goes through my headphones.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

My GPU fan. My PC used to be quiet as a mouse, and then the AMD nation attacked.

My rig is very comfortable when it comes to noise due to the watercooling (I use Corsair silent fans)... but if I had to declare one particular part as "noisy" I think it would be the 140mm case exit fan.

Other than that hehe just the speakers ;) .
