I have a challenge, turn a ps2 slim into a fully functional gaming PC.
rules:

It must look like a ps2 slim from the outside

It has to be able to run games at a respectable fps

 

have fun

You got to give them a chance....

Gameboy.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

The best case scenario is a passively cooled APU build, which will run like a potato. Bad idea, 10/10 would not do.

PS2 Slim? Haha no.

Though the fat version of the ps2 is possible.

The Fat boy PS2 would work. But....not a slim lol.

Consoles: 1 - PC: 0

you could fit a gaming laptop in that size volume

it would perform way better than a PS2 but be expensive

stuff like intel NUCs or zotac zbox would also perform better but that requires custom made hardware which LTT cant make

They would probably have to cut off some of the io ports even on a low profile motherboard. Idk if you've ever had a ps2 slim but they're tiny!

How about an original Xbox? That's a much more viable option...

My original PS2 is making a rather quite nice monitor stand. I'd like to see a gaming PC do that.

I use a ps2 slim as a coaster. Works great. Don't even have the cables.

I have a challenge, turn a ps2 slim into a fully functional gaming PC.

rules:

It must look like a ps2 slim from the outside

It has to be able to run games at a respectable fps

 

have fun

 

I personally think that turning a black XBOX 360 into a PC is way cooler. I just think its more recognizable as a gaming console and will add a better "wow" effect. You'll have to make a cutout in the case if you want to fit a decent dedicated GPU though. You can also find RROD'd black XBOX 360's for like, $20.00 USD on ebay.

i have a PS2 slim, even the hardware thats inside now doesnt run well when the outside temps are above 30°c.

 

its not a challenge to do it, its just plain stupid to put powerful hardware in such a small enclosure.

Actually, I just realized that this could be stupidly easy if you just gutted a NUC and put all the internals inside.
