Screw aesthetics, function over form mate now if it happens to look killer then sweet :)

Well that's kind of stretching it, I doubt you could get those specs without really crapping out on some of the other parts. Even if you have a 780, you can add another one and get almost double gaming performance. Beyond that your price/performance goes to sh*t, so that's why I estimated 2.5k$.

I meant to say a 4670k not 4770k

Probably the only Star Citizen player who is planning on a career in Journalism instead of piracy, mining, trading, exploration, military, station management, etc.

Generation 0: The first time you see this add 1 to the number and copy it into your sig. Consider it a social experiment.

I like performance, because now that I have a computer I don't really care much for all the lights and fancy bits.  I just want it silent and everything neat inside even with no window. lol

For me, it's about bringing Aesthetics, Performance, and quietness together. An interesting challenge, especially if you limit yourself to air cooling (or those CPU internal per-assembled water cooling kit, like the Corsair H series). I find such challenge quite fun actually.

there should be both in the poll. for myself though, i would probably lean more towards a performance rig. I wouldn't want it to look like crap though

It doesn't take much at all to make a system look nice. Just don't make it ugly.

Neither... I don't need super high performance or super nice aesthetics.  What I want is usefulness.  Things like sturdy construction and long lasting components, nice screen, and thoughtful and diverse choices in port selection (I mean in laptops... since that's what I deal with mostly)
