Corsair RMi series PSU

Corsair on their youtube channel has announced the new Corsair RMi series PSUs. They are 80 plus gold, fully modular and have Corsair link digital integration. IT also features the zero rpm mode. IT also comes with a 7 year warranty. There isnt much of an upgrade here except full digital corsair link intergration

Still not interested if that just means they jack the price up even more.

I'm fine with my XTR, corsair really haven't been doing themselves any favours with getting me as a customer recently, so I doubt this will entice me.

God they need to get rid of those stickers on the side already.

 

Emboss/ relief/ etch /raster-transfer your logo into/ onto the metal or don't bother. Be Quiet does it, Cougar does it, LEPA does it, Enermax, Super Flower etc etc etc. Hell, even gods of bad taste, Cooler Master, do it now!

There's nothing to review It just shows voltages, which aren't proper compared to a multimeter, power draw and after you've used this a few times I doubt you'd actually have any proper use out of it, a marketing gimmick for the PSU side

Exact opposite. I was quite happy they went with a color neutral sticker and from a modding point-of-view I'd much prefer flat metal than some etched/embossed sides.

Can someone explain to me the difference between this RMi Series and the HXi Series? I know there's a price difference but what justifies the price difference? They are both 80 Plus Gold and are fully modular. Confused :wacko: .

Kidding, but this thing has lasted me for two years so far. I bought it for $40 used on eBay whenever I felt the need to get rid of my no-name psu but didn't have any money LOL
