Get a 980TI and flip the PSU fan up.

why the psu flip?  will it have any advantage?  or you're just doing it for heck of it?

It doesn't have any benefits or disadvantages. If you can't be arsed to clean out the intake filter, it's better to have it up. I'm personally going to rotate it down becuase I don't like the fact that my 970 is blowing hot air into it.

Thanks bro! For some reason my computer isn't that much faster.... I'll try downloading a new motherboard next. If that doesn't work I'll try downloading more cache.

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

Replace my 660 with a 960, do more cable management, add more case fans and add a led strip.

Happy Gaming! :)

Possibly upgrading to single 390x or 980Ti to replace my 290 crossfire's, and then put the 290's into an old/spare system for 24/7 folding (located somewhere that doesn't give me heat stroke).

Like Intel, I am waiting for Zen's launch before upgrading my cpu/mobo to something better.   ;)

I need a better CPU and GPU. I'm on Ivy Bridge, so i thought an upgrade to quadcore and a GTX 9ish card would be nice, but again... i'm limited to Ivy and that kind of sucks. (Not i'm not planning on any OC, so i totally appreciate the IPC increase.)

@Speedbird Buying the cheapest Windows and then getting an upgrade to Windows 10... Genius !

I bought Home Premium about 10 months ago. I need Windows 7 for running MS Flight Simulator, the community doesn't really recommend 8. Bought it ahead of time, because I knew it would be discontinued in October 2014. Home Premium is no longer the cheapest - the few remianing copies are sold at increased prices. And actually, the cheapest way to get Windows 10 is to wait for the GA release and then buy it, because that's when it's cheapest. I remeber 8 Pro being around $40.

I should be getting paid soon, which means a Xeon 1231 v3, a Nepton 240M, and an Xbox One controller for PC. I'm also going to get GTA V for PC (DVD version).

Why do you need a new cooler for a Locked CPU. Also you should get GelTabz for the Xbox One Controller, as the thumbsticks are too small IMHO.

Dayum, it's that complicated ? Oh well, at least you can play your favorite game without compatibility issues, i know it bugged me a lot in the case of L.A Noire and Crysis 2...

Even 7 has some compatibility issues. This simulator was released in 2006, had only 2 official patches released, and was then abandonded by the developers. One of it's biggest problems is that its 32-bit and thus cannot use more than 4GB of memory. And when it hits that limit, it doesn't unload stuff. It just crashes.
