Not the best price in the world, however it comes with witcher 3 and GTA free, so it's quite a good deal if you don't already have GTA or witcher 3(preorderd)

Oh right, didn't know that was an issue... still a good deal. Is the coil whine a wide spread issue.

I dont know, but most the coil whines on this forum for the 970 are the strix.

But yeah, the deal is pretty sleak

I paid 275 for my 970 Strix, and it has no coil whine issues, and the 2 other people I know that have the same card don't have coil whine either so I'm not sure how big of an issue it is.... Maybe we just got lucky, don't know.

Intel 2500K @ 5GHz,Corsair H100i, MSI Z68 GD65, GTX 970 STRIX, 16GB G Skill Sniper, Seasonic X750, 250 GB Samsung 840pro SSDs in Raid 0, Corsair 650D.

I only have coil whine on mine when starting up WoW, otherwise it's silent.

your going to hear it at like 1000 FPS regardless (rough number) ... otherwise, the strix is silent as advertised

Coil whine generally disappears after a certain amount of use anyway. That is an amazing deal imo.

can confirm for 5 970 strix's, no coil whine. (3 of my friends have one, I have 2 in SLI)

DAMN, paid the exact same price for this card a week ago but without the games, should of held off, paid £30 extra to get GTA V when I could of got it for free.

Actually the Strix is one of the 970's that's known to not have coil whine issues.
