You can also tell it's a copy and pasted answer... It even says "if the device is an external drive, such as a USB flash drive or external hard drive." Seriously, it's a GPU, not a flash drive!!!

It was an 8350 if I remember correctly ... But yeah, even a i3 with a 750ti is perfectly fine for CSGO!

Don't understand why people throw money out the window like this.

Cause people are either

A) Not knowledgeable and just repeat what they hear
or
B) Fanboying

A is more common. A lot of newcomers (mainly young users) are lead to believe that any AMD CPU bottlenecks any GPU and thus point fingers without even thinking about it. For instance,  in the situation described above, if the 8350 was bottlenecking then the 1070 would be getting the same frame rate as the 780, not lower. But then again, reaching that conclusion requires basic knowledge and most people lack that.

Exactly what I'm thinking... A CPU bottleneck wouldn't result in lower framerates.

It's not possible. When I swapped out my 5670 with a 6850 (cause I got a new monitor) I didn't see lower performance despite my bottlenecking CPU ._.

Copy and pasted answers are extremely common for custom support to do because they assume people haven't researched the issue.

I have had valve support do this also when trying to diagnose an issue with my steam link, when I clearly stated that I read and followed their page about how to fix the issue.

Well nvm, I believe I discovered why my SLI wasnt working ....

iH3Cjpn.jpg

I accidentally plugged the PCI-E extensions into the opposite cards after having an inside inspection, and got an error message to connect the PCI-E connectors on boot.

Naturally, I began raging at my extension cables, but upon further inspection identified the problem as a clear case of herp user derp.

Now I can start benching and gaming again, yay!

Depends on the performance. Anything similar to a 1070/1080/980 Ti would get bottlenecked by your i5 at 1080p

The max for an i5 are the Fury/980/1060/480. A 4.5GHz 5675C/6600K can handle a 980 Ti/Fury X/1070 in SOME games.

To be fair. Most laptop manufactures use 5400RPM 8MB Cache HDDs.

If you're using a laptop, this has to do with power consumption as well - but most run SSDs these days, particularly Apple laptops.
