Hang in there.  School can be draining but it's survivable.  I'm sure things will get better.  ?

Don't worry.  Play your cards right and high school can be a very fun time of your life.  ?

Mindblowing. Multiplayer bf1 on ultra and I'm not really getting noticeable stutter. I do have custom high/few med. settings though to maintain min. 200 fps (main monitor refresh). I care about frame consistency and minimums more than visual quality. The hb bridge is noticeably better for me than normal bridges... it's odd. Like frame delivery is much more consistent.

overwatch ultra has 230 fps as my recorded minimum. Cs:go didn't encounter any issues after a minor settings adjustment in nvidias profile. Wish Nvidia allowed more adjustments like radeonpro did/does. Heat isn't an issue for me but i'm using an open air chasis and moving to wall-mount soon (plus it's below freezing and I don't use the a/c). Idk what else to comment on a card besides: sli doesn't suck now it seems, they work about as good as 2 1080's together (most games I tried seem to be like 95% efficient or better). They'll serve me well for my streaming pc.

I think you've got things mixed up...

VGA, for displays, like HDMI, DVI, DP, etc., just worse in every way:

Would changing my profile pic from a French/Italian aircraft manufacturer to the Bombardier Logo persuade you?

Ummm..  I'm a little embarrassed to say I was talking about the socks.  ?

That's great that you're enjoying your shiny new 1080 though.  ?

What's an hb bridge?

Could you show me a picture of this open air chasis?

Do you mind if I ask where you live that's so cold already?    If you don't want to reveal that it's ok.

Nvidia's new SLI configuration. Allows for higher bandwidth between the cards in theory, but it also limits SLI to only a 2x configuration.

I'm a Cheesehead In one of the not eastern college towns. I also have a few health conditions which makes me susceptible to the cold (but i like the winter too much to move south).

I could but it's a bastard of a chasis that I built from 3d printed stuff. I'm moving everything onto a wall mount soon (ex is making me a desk with a side wall to mount my pc on).

nvidia released "hb bridges" with the 10 series cards (for the 1070/1080) supposedly the Sli bridges have bandwidth and other interconnectivity issues that result in performance (not just raw framerate) being crippled on Sli setups. The bridge reduces the effect and from just switches between a normal bridge to an hb bridge in overwatch my avg fps changed seemed to go up by 15. I am gaming at well past 200hz on 4k downscaled to 1440p... so I'm using bandwidth.

Toe socks are amazing. They make it feel like i'm being snugly secured and such. When walking around the house without slippers though it's really nice because you don't have constant skin-skin contact. When layering socks for going outside they're a boon because any sweat gathered doesn't pool inbetween your toes.

When others say you're wrong you should possible use 2 seconds for google.

If you want to be technical, they are pcie connectors yet vga cables. (they connect to a design pretty damn similar to a video graphics array no? vga cable)

You don't call your gpu a pcie card do you? you call it a gpu; for the longest time they were called vga cards. If you're young without IT degrees you should always back up your knowledge with public db searches imho.
