The positioning of the Philippine flag’s colors indicate a message. If it is flown with the red stripe on top, the nation is in a state of war. Otherwise, during peacetime, the blue is on top.

Also I heard somewhere that the color a star appears to flash in the sky somehow indicates if its moving away or closer

While red shift and blue shift are a thing, the movement is not enough to change the total color of a single star in our galaxy. The color of a star indicates its temperature, Red, orange, yellow, white, and blue, from colder to warmer.

AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

The entire cosmos is 13.798±0.037 billion years old. Fairly basic info, but I still love that we know that.

If/when fusion energy becomes a reality we could power whole cities off literal teaspoons of deuterium atoms with zero emissions and only a 30 year half life of the reactor walls. Also there is zero risk of anything untoward happening if the reactor is unbalanced as fusion requires a very specific set of variables to function at all, otherwise it just stops fusing.

In a few trillion years as the universe enters the 'degenerate' era galaxies will start to red shift out of view of each other. Meaning that any civilisation out there then will have no means to know that once the universe was full of an amazing amount of galaxies and potential life. They'll never know just how vast and magnificent everything once was. Assuming that they don't develop technology capable of defeating red shift.

This last one is only fact in that there exists a hypothesis. If the multiverse exists in a specific way there are an infinite number of you being batman out there.

The energy emitted by human body per unit area per unit time is greater than that emitted by the sun per unit area per unit time !!

Even though the sun emits as much energy as a lawnmower engine per square centimeter? That's just radiant heat energy, too. What about X-rays, UV, Infrared and microwaves? Radio waves, gamma? The sun is a ball of superheated plasma. Humans are a collection of self-replicating water-based organic cells.

My crush is cute, but she's not that dazzling, I'm afraid.

This is probably totally sexist, but if the person in your avatar photo wrote this ^...then...

(I don't care if you tear me down for that...it was worth it)  ;0)

Edit: that last part is my amazing fact. ;0)

Fact: Finding intelligence attractive is not sexist in the slightest.

Ahhha great! Flattering, as that is indeed me.

Vulcan hand sign and all... :P

Anyway... back to facts.

Mars' satellites Phobos and Deimos (they're not moons, come on, they're tiny and irregular) have so little mass that if you started riding a bike (assuming you could get traction in the first place) on their surfaces, you would take off.

Dust particles from the moon were created mostly from the rock surface being constantly bombarded by meteorites and charged ions emitted by the sun. (oh, and because it's been going on for billions of years, and because it's basalt, it's really hard, really fine and really abrasive.) Yes, you heard it correctly. It was made by being disintegrated by the Sun.

I have no idea what pretty much any of that means but i love energy that gives no emissions so that is super awesome imo!

That's kind of all I seem to hear these days..."oh, you're...old".

:0P  ;0)

I'm not older, I'm just higher res.  ;)

But seriously, lets not turn this into a debate...

...basically everything's relative, including how ancient I am. ;0)

Now look at us standing around when there is science to be done! ;)

The pain barrier inferred by scientists original is wrong as they originally thought that a human couldn't feel more than 45 units of pain when reality 57 units of pain is experienced in childbirth. Gotta hand it to the women, they go through alot.

Oh! Got another one!
The chances of Humanity being wiped off the face of the Earth are greater than the chances of Humanity surviving. My bet it'll be by our own stupidity.
