ASUS Announces TUF Sabertooth X99 at CeBIT 2015

Latest entry in popular Sabertooth motherboard series features Haswell-E support and USB 3.1ASUS has unveiled an X99 revision of its TUF Sabertooth consumer/server motherboard line, featuring USB 3.1 and a "TUF Detective" feature that allows the user to use an Android smartphone to power on the computer, view system information, and more. Returning features include Thermal Radar, Thermal Armor, electrostatic discharge protection, and the TUF Fortifier backplate.

Now this, along with a reference GTX card would be fantastic with some Noctua fans and in a professional looking case.

Nah its mostly the color scheme of the headers on the board that make it look ugly as hell. I still have a Z87 Sabertooth Board and that was the biggest thing I hated about it besides my BIOS issues with it.

Ok so this fucking thing has a backplate, something it won't be seen on 99% of builds, yet EVGA can't do backplates on GPUs where they actually are commonly seen AND serve a functional purpose?

I can't stand Red and Black themed motherboard makes me sick seeing all of the board pretty much using that color scheme now. My new board is Black and yellow and threw my entire build's color scheme off.

You do realize that's invisible with cables plugged in right?

Not all of them are, I know from owning the Z87 Sabertooth board and the 24 pin and Sata ports were still visible along with my ram slots.

The backplate on the board serves a purpose too. To prevent the board from warpping. Give it more support, just like the backplate on a video card.

I suppose it would help if at any point it's not properly secured with screws (which is more common than one would think) so good point.
