Any Manufacturers You Refuse to Buy From?

MblaZe7run

I was just wondering if there are any manufactures that you absolutely refuse to buy from, no matter what. Personally, I refuse to purchase anything from Dell, despite them actually having some pretty nice stuff. My refusal comes from atrocious customer support in the past when it comes to problems out of my hands. I know that may be a horrible reason, but it works for me.

Who are some manufacturers you refuse to purchase from? Also, who are some that have completely won you over and you will pretty much forever support?

EDIT: Please leave a reason why, I'm the curious type! :P

dell - Alienware departement

Alienware is such a joke after Dell bought them. Can't wait for all the fanboys to die out, and hopefully the brand will too. Alienware used to be pretty darn good, but now, ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte are just killing them in terms of best bang for your buck, I feel.

I refuse to buy from Samsung...because everyone in my town/area calls it "The Galaxy" even though there are several models of it and it kinda annoy the living hell out of me. Another reason is that everyone hopped on this bandwagon of Galaxy is better then this and that when they don't even remotely know how to fully utilize the potential of the phone.

ASUS is a godly company in my opinion. My first video card was ASUS, and they ended up replacing it out of warranty when it died on me due to a power surge. Gotta love good customer support like that. I'm a customer for life (or until they screw me over).

I'll probably avoid Nvidia after my experience with the GTX 970.

I'd only allow personal preference to make a decision if I'm looking at same performance/reliability for the price parts.

edit

Forgot to finish the post like a derp.

HP. Acer's laptops (but not their monitors. gn246hl is love, gn246hl is life). Seagate (rip 3 hdds).

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

compaq... are they even still a thing anymore? lol

I hated my old compaq i had in the mid-late 90s it had built in speakers that were stuck just making high pitch noise when it was on and even when i tried to use the floppy drive an a different computer it managed to make that computer hang on boot lol

Apple - not that I am a hater, it's just none of their products are interesting to me. Bought an ipod mini years and years ago, didn't like it; bought a sandisk sansa and loved it.

Jordan - overpriced Nike's. Even though I have about 6 pairs, never will I again pay 150-200 for a pair of shoes.

Any novelty tee shirt by Gilden - the type of cotton that is used is very coarse and of poor quality. After one wash, it shrinks way to much.

Dual - cheap car speakers and head units. Below par sound quality.

I don't really like Samsung (phones in general, touchwiz), and acer. I don't really have a reason for not liking acer, I just don't like their products.

So probably all the o.e.m brands and asrock. Just don't bother with asus backyard boys.

I won't lie, I loved my Galaxy s3 when I had it, but like after that moment I got it, everyone start flooding to Samsung and everyone is over hyped aabout the "Galaxy" and honestly I prefer to have a device that isn't overly populated and that is unique and not commonly found in the world.

Besides that, I have no hate for the company, the things they do is what makes competition in the market. I like the idea of the Galaxy s6 edge, but I won't jump for it until someone else can make a better version of it.

For individual computer parts:

A whole lot of power supply companies

For finished electronic products:

Apple, Dell, Sony to an extent, Nintendo

There isn't any company that has my trust forever.
