What was your favorite intel socket? READ FIRST POST

Hi Guys! 

 

Welcome to my poll. Please vote imagining that these all just came out and don't just vote on the new ones because they're new. If you really liked an older one when it came out (ie 1156), more than you liked 1150 when it came out, then vote for 1156. Yes 2011-3 is better than 775, but if you like 775 more, the vote for it.

It'd be way easier to just ask people what their favorite cpu is....

I like the motherboards on LGA 1150 and LGA 775, naturally they're my favorites for motherboards. For CPUs though, LGA 2011v3, PGA478, Socket 939 and LGA 1155 have to be my choices.

 

Good job OP, only Intel sockets and nothing older than LGA 775.

Easier to ask what favorite CPU is. Considering not everyone uses Intel..

LGA 1150, basically because this is the first time I've understood enough about this stuff to really appreciate a socket.

I don't really have a favourite socket, but what I didn't like about socket 775 (me not thinking) was that my core 2 quad q6600 didn't work in my Dell Dimension 9150. Lifelesson learned: check if a cpu works for a specific mobo, don't just think matching sockets will work...
