Astro A40s, or Audio-Technica ATH-M50's?

Exhilarare

I plan on replacing my Steelseries Siberia V2's, wanted to get one of these.

Astro A40's with Mixamp ($250)

or

Audio Technica ATH-M50 ($130)

If I buy the M50's, I will probably get the Audio-Technica AT2020USB ($130) desktop mic with it.

What would be the better buy?

I'll be using this for streaming on Twitch.

EDIT: OR the new HyperX Cloud II's. ($100)

@Exhilarare M50 + AudioTechinia AT2020

Mic is much better and not a huge fan of Astro sound.

Sennheiser HD558 at $90 would probably be the best buy imo. I would definitely go for the 558's over the M50's. Astro's are overpriced. Not sure about Kingston (it has good reviews though).

How much cash do you want to put into streaming? I would recommend using that $130 budget that you have for the mic and get a Snowball. And if youre serious about streaming, use that money you saved by getting a Snowball and do some acoustic treatment for you room. Or just be happy that you saved money

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

Audio Technica ATH-M50 + Modmic (If you dont mind the cable clutter)

Try looking for the M50X as it has a removable cable + better accessories.

If only the M40x didn't sound the same as the M50/M50x. If only it didn't come with the better pads, removable cable, and was cheaper at the same time. Damn this cruel world...

Alright, I've decided im going to get the AT2020 regardless, which of these has the best quality? And I should get the M40x's instead?

It depends what is the price of M40x. If it's <100$ go for M40x. I'm using M50x by myself and they sound great, but I read on reviews that M40x just are fine.
