[US- Newegg] Console killing PC $380

dylan43270

This looks like a pretty sweet deal, the GPU kinda sucks, but I am pretty sure it will run most games better than consoles. You could always upgrade the GPU in the future.

A 750 is not bad.

It could probably run games at 900p 30 fps ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Combined with those specs, it would be more like 20.

Besides, it was a joke. I have horror stories with 1gb cards...o_o

Yeah, you could have said the system combined won't get, instead of the card.

Needless to say, I've had 1gb cards that get 15fps on GTA 4, about 10 fps on Farcry 4 on lowest settings 1366x768

It was.

I'm pretty sure "console killer" is my most hated tech related term... Just cause a pc is prices similarly to a console doesn't make it a console killer.  sure it might have similar or even better raw power, but the gaming experience would be better on a console than a pc like this 9 times out of 10

HP something | 5600X | Corsair  16GB | Zotac ArcticStorm GTX 1080 Ti | Samsung 840 Pro 256GB | OCZ Agility 3 480GB | ADATA SP550 960 GB

Corsair AX860i | CaseLabs SM8 | EK Supremacy | UT60 420 | ST30 360 | ST30 240

Gentle Typhoon's and Noctua's and Noiseblocker eLoop's

True i hate people who Think that a 400 dollar pc can outperform a ps4. No it cannot. A ps4 is far too optimized with the components it has for its games. for 400 dollars the ps4 will play games better and will play games better in the future.

That motherboard will crap out on you so fast, other than that, excellent bargain for $400.

I3 or bust. games are starting (Some already do) require more than 2 threads to run properly.

i3 inst doable at this price point , but you have tons  of upgradibility with the pentium.

It would be over 400 bucks.

Think of it as a stopgap.

if the i3 isn't viable the fx 6300 is a better buy at the price point.

Have to keep in mind Windows will be necessary also.

I did a similar test as Nanosuits where you cut down your processor to simulate a Pentium.  dual core just isn't viable for 2015.  I don't think anyone on a $400 budget is doing a stop-gap purchase.
