Zuzu

color is personal preference. :)

@Zuzu The price for your HSF is missing. on NCIX CAN it cost $99.99CAD

Newegg US cost $89.99. Seriously if you're going to spend that much on a fan, might as well just go with AIO.

@NumLock21

But I need less noise and AIOs make a lot afaik :/

I'm talking about price point not noise. Want silent then get the cpu fan cooler.

Okay, is there anything else I should know before I order all these parts? There's nothing else I need from the time I receive the parts to the time I'm playing CS GO on it apart from a screwdriver with multiple heads right?

Yeah, screw this trying to help you save on your wallet. Asus ROG FTW!

Seriously that build you've configure is soild. I've pick the Maximus for it's black/red which matches your black/red H440.

MSI Z97 Gaming 5 is also black/red and cost like $4 dollars less than the Asus Z97-AR.

@brob mentioned the clearance for your Corsair Vengence and CPU cooler. change ram to those with non tall heatsinks.

How about G Skill Ripjaws X?

Also, what does a ROG motherboard provide me in benefit if I'm not going to OC?

Thanks for your help btw :P yeah man I've saved up over 4 years for this I just want it to be perfect for my needs for the next 3-4 years and I don't care about costs as long as it's less than my saved up money :P. I also don't want it to be overkill because... What's the point of a huge house with 50 toilets if you only use one y'know.

My Hyper 212 fits snug with my Viper 3 RAM, too snug for my liking.  I simply moved my 2 sticks of RAM to the 2/4 slots.  Could Zuzu not just do the same?  ...Or even run a pull config on the cooler fan which would alleviate the clearance issue?

I believe the Dark Rock Pro 3 fins extend over the first two slots and the fan over the outer two slots. The fan could be adjusted up, depending on the case clearance. But this would likely impact performance. Depending on the motherboard I suppose it might be possible to mount the fan on the back side of the cooler and have it pull air across the fins.

I've been on my iPhone for the past 2 days without any computer whatsoever and I'm going to be ordering everything from this little thing... Lol... So it's kind of hard to do research on clearance and compatibility stuff. So thank you brob that really helps. So what max height of RAM do you recommend with the ASUS Z97 mobo with the dark rock pro 3?

Don't know :\ Might not or be a extremely tight fit. I was thinking about the G.Skill Ares since the heatsink is level with the ram PCB, so is the Kingston HyperX Fury.

Features in Asus Maximus VII Hero. It's isn't just about overclocking

Does the 40mm include the part in the socket? If so, then it's enough clearance from what I've gathered.

'The Dark Rock Pro 3 has 44mm of clearance for ram. For example, 40mm tall Ripjaws fit no problem'

http://www.overclock.net/t/1459338/be-quiet-dark-rock-pro-3/60

Perhaps you could provide the post # as I can't find any reference to 44 or Ripjaws on the page.
