I like my air 540, however, I am looking at the Thermaltake Core X9 for my next case.

To me, it looks like Thermaltake looked at the air 540, and thought "let's do everything right, that corsair did wrong" and then slapped a great price on it.

I have an R5. Favorite case for air cooling. My 5820K doesn't get past 70 (on 1.2V atm). Neither does my 970 (but it's a 970). The airflow on the R5 is so much better than the R4 (used one for my dad). It's a massive improvement. Your 780 will feel the difference.

For someone using a top-mounted 240/280 AIO: Phanteks Enthoo Pro or NZXT S340

For custom liquid cooling: Phanteks Enthoo Primo.

I ordered the Luxe. Which is awesome for watercooling also (same layout as the pro)

Hardware: Intel I7 4790K 4Ghz | Asus Maximus VII Hero Z97 | Gigabyte 780 Windforce OC | Noctua NH-U12P SE2 | Sandisk Extreme Pro 480GB | Seagate 500Gb 7200Rpm | Phanteks Enthoo Luxe | EVGA Supernova G2 850W | Noctua NF12 | SupremeFX 2014 | Patriot Viper 3 16GB.

Gaming Gear: Cooler Master TK Stealth | Sennheiser PC350SE | Steelseries Rival | LG IPS23L-BN ' 5ms | Philips Brillians 144hz

Mid Tower I like the Define R4

The interior look sooooo clean because of the 2 chamber, and it is sooooo fun to build in it.

here is my 540 for comparison :

I have the 970 strix now. This one was a 7970.

I figured. I bought a 7950 back in the day, but actually really wanted that exact 7970. Just couldn't afford it at the time.

Well I guess that was a step up. Still those coolers were bad-ass. They should still make those as super-quiet cards for AMD GPUs.

Would have gone with Enthoo Luxe but I don't own it. I have a Define R5 which is lovely, but has its flaws, and is cheaper than the Luxe and Pro.

So I went with: Other, Define R5

CPU: I7 4790K(4.6@1.252v)                               Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Windowed(Black)           Cooler: CM 212 EVO + NF F12 iPPC

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

MoBo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger                      Graphics: MSI GTX 970 TwinFrozr (1494MHZ Core)       OS: Windows 10 Enterprise
