DX Racer sent over their F-Series, a chair designed for gamers with a smaller frame. Could this be the ideal gaming chair for someone like Linus?

I actually went to a store in BC (MemoryExpress) and tried out the chairs. The material actually disappointed me as I thought it was actual leather. I decided on this. Sure its expensive but its hella comfortable + its healthy :D http://www.relaxtheback.com/ergonomic-chairs/lifeform-ultimate-high-back-executive-office-chair.html.

Gotta love that Potato Keycap.

For those wanting a keyboard and mouse, but without sacrificing the console experience.

Before I bought it I went to try it in the store. The chair fitted so good I got it the next week. As Linus said I prefer more relaxed position and I love the chair. Also my cat started to sleep there instead of in my bed.

I'd like more chair videos. I've been using this generic office chair for about a year, and all the fake leather is pealing off.

Gaming PCs:
Intel i7 4790k, EVGA GTX 980ti, NZXT H440
Intel i5 7600k, Asus GTX 970 DC Mini, Silverstone SG13B
HTPC: AMD Phenom II X6 1045t, EVGA GTX 770 FTW, Fractal Node 604

It would be nice to see a comparison between more "gaming" oriented chairs like this one and more traditional office chairs. I often see that people recommend very high-end office chairs  e.g. herman miller while criticizing especially "gaming" chairs.

I have an F series myself, and I couldn´t be happier with anything else.

Yes, of course it´s expensive, 240€ I paid with shipping and taxes, but god it´s comfortable. And since I spend quite some time here between working and whatever else, a chair like that looked like a worth investment, upgrading from a 70€ chair.

Build & peripherals:

Anyone know of a store in BC where I can try one out??

Really want one because the chairs at my dorm suck. Thinking of bringing in my own chair, but my current chair's cushions are dying.. I can literally feel the framing so after awhile my butt gets sore haha.

Willing to drop $350-ish cause to be completely honest, these chairs come with many features and the material seems nice. There are a lot of office chairs that are over $400.. like the one I have right now but it's honestly pretty uncomfortable. I sit with more of an upright posture but if I want to sit as such in my current chair my back doesn't come into contact with the chair at all. Top tier right there.

Anyone know how long these cushions (are supposed to) last for?

It's definatly nice to see these chair reviews and I would love to see some more. I'm in the market for a new chair now and have been looking at the Need for Seat and DX chairs for a while. I would love to see some more videos of other chairs at varing prices.

is the video a review or an overview?

about 2/3 of the whole video is talking about useless stuff (like seriously packaging, assembly experience and features that is already on the spec sheet).

Sure you can be lazy and spend all your resources on stuff like scripts, glamor shots and other useless stuff that doesn't actually benefit people other than OMG eyegasm but still get views to your videos.

It seems to me like you didn't even put an effort in doing research or even spend a little time to brain storm to improve your testing methodology.

I remember before you became a private company, you always stress that you strive to make your testing methodology better but look at most of the stuff you are producing now it has gone down the hill. For instance you used to record all your testing in a excell sheet for your cpu coolers so people could easily access it, do extensive testing on video cards (like noise, heat, coil whine, power consumption from wall, size comparison, generation comparison and even the bloody weight).

If you really care about what people say, then why not make a subforum that is dedicated for your testing methodology (like dedicated thread for testing methodology cpu, gpu, monitor,etc...)with a place where people could put suggestion to it.

Every time you review an item, you should refer to that testing methodology and what version that testing methodology is (like for example for a a video card on a methodology v1 you test stuff like heat, noise, power consumption but you heard people wants to add more stuff into testing so you update it to methodology v2 and there would be added testing like frame pacing, coil whine, vrms, etc...). At least that way you know you are actually improving this around and not just all talk or some stuff you forgot to test because you are too lazy to research or include it in the testing procedure.

For people that is actually looking for a chair, I suggest you at least put this stuff into consideration.

Yeah, we're all just a bunch of idiots experiencing nothing more than the placebo effect.

Come on Linus, if you want to review gaming chairs, you need to touch on the things that really matter.

  • Dose it offer enough lateral support when cornering?
  • Dose it have proper clearance for the 5 point harness?
  • How much g force can it support?

Gamers need to know these things.

If you want the best possible office chair/computer desk chair, check out the aeron chair, one of the most adjustable and well built chairs out there

The ergohuman also is quite good, with a headrest

Check it out!
