Yes to fan on bottom because of an attempt at positive pressure.  Inputs are front, bottom, exhaust is back.

Case is full of holes so don't work the best.

Every1 should use bottom mounted fans if the intake is filtered!

Plus sides:

1. Cold air is always at the very bottom.

2. Directs fresh air to the graphics card, n o matter what style fan its using (blower/open).

3. Helps natural convection - heat rises!

4. Helps to build more positive air pressure inside the case.

Don't use it if you have no clearance beneath the case or no filters on the intakes tho!

I have an ugly noctua nf p14 but I've never paid attention to if it makes a difference or not in the temps. I just had the fan and there was a filtered spot for a fan there already so why not use it?

I'm modding my BitFenix Survivor (which doesn't have a bottom fan mount) to take a 180mm Silverstone Air Penetrator in the bottom. So....

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

if it's never been done then i'm probably tryna do it. (((((((Bass so low it HERTZ)))))))

Not using at the moment as I can only fit an 80mm now and 80mm are crap.

They're only any use IMO when you've got negative pressure and the bottom fan can help equalise/switch to positive pressure.

I never used a bottom fan, even though my case has a filter.

And ever since i helped my friend with cleaning his PC, i am pretty sure that i will never use one in the future too.

Too much dust, at least at my location, more noise and all that, for the shake of 4-6 degrees lower temps.

Wow I love how clean the PC looks like, but I have a question, what GPU is that having the 6pin connector like that?  :o

Yep, I even specifically put a fan position there when I built my case:

Funny, I added one a few days ago, to help my GTX670, weather is getting pretty hot here, around 30°C.

I put tape on mine to stop dust but if you have a non ref. cooler gpu does it still help with the temps?

More fresh air for your graphics card is always good, it wont be blown out the back, but as long as you have descent airflow, thumbs up!!!

I bought a r4 and moved the front fan to the bottom for a little better noise reduction.

Will work for electronic components and parts

Wait what? Whats wrong with using the bottom part? I've been doing that since day one. I thought that blows in fresh air to the GPU, since the r4 has no side panel. Can anyone explain what bad things might happen? (The r4 has a filter so dust is not a problem.)

Hehe, if you think that 30°C is much then what should I say for temps in my area :)

dm-8137166544611.png dm-1013716654462.png

And this is only the beginning. In august 40-45°C are common here, lol. My last PC burned out because of the overheating (too much OC also). Now I made new one with better parts and cooling and is running well.

dm-1113716658904.png

And yes, my bottom fan does a really good job for keeping the airflow at max when I`m gaming. Without it my temps go around 7+°C overall higher and that matters enough me. This is one of the AC 120mm models, 600-2000rpm. I keep it around 800rpm for most of the time and push it at its max when I game. Because my case didn`t have filter in that place I`ve made one and change it around every month to keep things clean :)

Otherwise my PC looks like this dm-3137054896113.png

I know, my cable management is not the best but its good enough for the airflow ;)
