Flattr as a way to support Linus with microdonations

Hey, I came across a topic about ways to support open source projects and content creators, and there was a mention of a swedish site called Flattr - http://flattr.com/

 

Its a cool and easy way for everyone to support content creators. Each like, start, favourite etc will give a so called "social micro donation" directly to a content creator that you follow on services like youtube, instagram, facebook etc.

 

So it got me thinking that monthly charity 'likes' drive could be entirely sponsored by that kinda service. You can read more about it here http://flattr.com/howflattrworks

 

P.S. I'm obviously not in any way affiliated with that service, i just thought its a really cool way to fund the charity drive or just support Linus in general! \feel free to post your thoughts
