So whats with all the hate for unity? I know it had a horrible launch, but it's a great game... I can get  ~45 FPS on Ultra on my OC'ed 980... Not that far through the game yet, but from what iv'e played it's really fun!

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

Just because you have the fastest single GPU dosnt mean everyone does.

 

Its broken in more ways than just performance and its riddled with bugs and glitches, this is a prime example of a game that should of been delayed.

The fact that the game needs the fastest GPU on the market to run at 45 fps is why the game is hated so much.

It put nails on the coffin for the series.  (which went downhill at 3 but was somewhat put on life support by 4 having pirates)

 

only 45fps on OCed 980 is pathetic.  The game does not look any close to good to justify that kind of performance.

Uhh, with my 980 I get similar performance. The game does NOT look good enough to justify such shitty performance.

 

EDIT: Are you using a stock CPU cooler?? Wow, if that is what (in shipping) means next to your cooler in your sig then shit that must be hot.

45fps on that setup, yeah right it must be one hell of a great game. You basically answered your own question.

My machine can run the game "ok" to, but that doesn't make Ubisoft's optimization acceptable. Also this comes way to close to the "hater defense" which is used when you have ZERO argument.

 

Why I dislike Ubisoft optimization and poor ports? Because I don't like seeing MOST PC Gamers struggle to get a game running for no reason. Also running the game at 40 FPS on a freakin GTX 980 at 1080p is a joke. An R9 290 is literally 4-5 times what a Xbox One GPU is and a GTX 980 is more powerful at stock. This game should be running at 4k or 4xSSAA like Shadows of Mordor does.

 

1080p with a slight improvement on textures is a joke on a GTX 980. Same goes for Watch Dogs and Far Cry 4. Far Cry 4 SHOULD have run great, but in that game they decided to break another thing and make it primarily a one core game.

So you need the fastest non-dual GPU on the planet, overclocked to get under 60 fps?

 

Does the game look so much better than all other games (to justify that performance).
