You forgot 8.1 , that was technically it's own OS according to Microsoft

Why high refreshrate monitors look better even without Freesync/G-sync in one image.
Stutters, framedrops, "lag". How to provide detailed information with your "bottleneck" question, as well as a few solutions.

I use both windows 7 and 8.1, and 8.1 is significantly better, it is equal or better at everything I do. The one slight drawback is that the start menu isn't pretty, but that's it.

Yeah I don't think Win 8 was shit.

 

It's a nimble OS. The only drawback was the lack of the start screen which you get used to. I just right click on desktop and click personalize then control panel when I want that.

 

Edit: I saw Win 10 and it has a great start screen but they should have just brought that update to Win 8.

Windows 8 is not shit. It actually improved quite a bit over 7. Sure, the metro ui was an annoyance, but that is easily dealt with.

I've been using 8.1 almost since its release and I love it. I've been using it on a desktop with no touchscreen. Most of the people who say it is shot have never used it and are basing it off of Windows 8.

Windows 8 isn't bad in the same way Windows 98 was bad. Sure it had plenty of bugs at the start (but so did XP, look at SP1a....) but it never had the compatability problems Windows 98 had and I needn't even mentioned the blue-screens and random crashes.

The fact is that the backend of Windows 8 was actually better in many ways than that of Windows 7, the only drawback being Microsofts almighty screw up with Modern UI (which was largely resolved in 8.1). I personally don't like Modern UI, but I can't deny that Windows 8.1 is a really great OS once you get past it.

Hopefully Windows 10 will be better in terms of UI and support from launch, the Windows 7 to 8's Windows Vista if you will.

windows me was bad, but 2000 was good. There's a hole for your logic. Windows 2000 was left out to make this chart work. 

I failed to notice when I first looked, but you're right. Also Windows 98 and Windows 95 are the wrong way around (in terms of shit and good), the person who made this clearly never tried 98. Once you correct that, disregard the first Windows and add in Windows 2000 this seems to work, but this also proves how arbitrary this is.

Windows 95 (Good) - Windows 98 (Bad) - Windows 2000 - Windows ME - Windows XP - Windows Vista - Windows 7 - Windows 8 - Windows 10?
