Its actually just depth perception I think! The piece of fish was cut into a rectangle but the tail of the fish tapers off a bit giving a bit of a triangle look from that angle.

Speaking of seasoning your own food.

Bought a pair of these two days ago. I've wanted some for a few years and i finally got around to buying them.

Best cooking related purchase i've ever made  And yes. By that i mean that they are even better than my sharp knives

Hmm, i have pepper grinders :) A few of them to be exact :D But what's that white stuff? Sea salt O.o

 

Also, i like experimenting with spices :) Adding whatever i can find in my home (which for some reason is a lot, since my father randomly buys spices) :D

The salt is just called "Grinder salt" Basically it's just bigger pieces for the grinder 

There is always that moment when you are cooking and thinking "I wonder what would happen if i added [ingredient]"^^

No we have them here too. it's just that there are some forms of catfood that look similar.

I like it, but it's so expensive, and it has so many calories....

 

As for my favorite snack, don't know, but i absolutely love eating this:

 

I usually ate around 400-600 grams of it per day (and it has 500+ kcal per 100 grams... And i wondered why i am fat...).... I stopped eating it now...:

I never liked it because of the taste, just seems wrong to me.

The taste is the main thing. The mental scarring just adds extra gagging

 

you could easily just buy a pickling or kosher salt instead of something relabled and branded as such.

It's not really relabled. And it's already a step up from regular salt in terms of taste

 it's already a step up from regular salt in terms of taste

 

I used to use my salt mill but repurposed it for coriander seeds instead. salt is a rock there are no essential oils and flavors to be unlocked by cracking the mineral structure the only thing that is being done is affecting the coarseness and possibly pulverizing it into a fine powder, which ordinary table salt does a fine job at doing

 

I haven't yet evolved into the next level of hipster foody by purchasing artisan 'terroir' sea salts from different regions of the world which usually have a coarser rockier consistency that would benefit a good grind at the table

one day perhaps my food will taste like I licked the coastlines of France or the spicy brine of Africa but not today.

Salt is indeed a fun topic :D I had so many fight with my father since i like everything salty :D And he says i put too much of it in anything :) He usually mocks m by saying that i'll be carrying my kidneys in my hands in couple of years, but if that means i can eat salty food, that's okay with me :P
