I hope this has not been posted i did search but i always seem to miss things -_-

 

so Ubisoft has released a patch for the PC version as i was just playing Unity (dont worry i didnt buy it, i got the pick your path coupon) it crashed , and uplay exited and i got an update...a 750mb update -_-

 

vg247 has an article on what the patch fixes and also what issues the game had/still has im still downloading the patch so i will report back if things are better but heres the article if your interested

Notes for Patch 2

 

  • Fixed an issue where under some circumstances, Arno can fall through ground when free running on various props or when dropping down on to an NPC.
  • Fixed an issue where it is possible for Arno to get stuck in a hay cart next to the Pantheon in the Bièvre district.
  • Fixed an issue that may cause a game crash when joining the co-op session of another player who has a specific single player and side missions progression.
  • Improved performance in cinematic on low HW configurations
  • Fixed various flickering issues on nVidia SLI and AMD CrossFire configurations
  • Fixed various Graphic issues
    • Fixed light artifacts in PCSS shadows
    • Fixed problem with refresh rate on a first game launch.
  • Fixed various Input issues
    • Other keyboard/mouse fixes in several menu pages.
  • Fixed issues with “Invite to game” option when it was becoming unavailable after host migration, when it was active for all recent players instead of only for friends
  • Fixed issues with Helix Credits

Note that even with this patch, players may still experience
 

  • Most framerate issues that have been reported since the release of the game
  • Performance issues

so...the things that people were most annoyed about you didnt fix...but at least we can use the microtransactions now...thank god for that!!!

Can you play it on something lower then a 680 yet?

what about directx draw calls?

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Not really cared about unity but shouldn't it be Arnaud instead of Arno?

can they fix their coming death

 

FC4 plays really well btw. smooth constant FPS even at ultra.  I was getting 45fps with one 290x @ 5760x1080p everything on ultra. Waiting for Crossfire Profiles/Drivers before playing it more though.

lol i have said this before. ubisofts hole digging team has not stopped. they have not earned a thumbs ups or a hey they did something right FOR FIXING A GAME PEOPLE PAY FOR AND EXPECT TO HAVE A FINISHED PRODUCT !!!!!!!  im sry i get that some times there are a couple problems with games but come on....they should of had this stuff fixed by release or a day after sry for spelling errors on a tablet and im too lazy to fix like ubisoft ...maybe ill fix it later with a patch and some pay dlc

The Crew isn't even out yet, and I really liked the beta. The firs car game really that I loved since NFS Underground 2. And everyone says that FarCry 4 is really good, it's getting a lot of 9/10s at the moment.

This "digging" is them digging themselves into a grave for themselves with everything they have done to, mainly, the PC master race, but also consoles at the moment as people are reporting sub 30 fps on consoles for AC:Unity. 

The way they keep treating everyone, thinking about the $ rather than quality, they just keep making it worse, as such, keep on digging their grave.

ok iv been playing it since i posted, its not crashed once ( it used to crash every 5-10 minutes, cut scenes are no different still dipping to 27fps on my rig, average framerate is about the same (45-60) it still glitches with hair and animations ( they seem to just stop for a second then carry on)

 

on an another note i did find while using fraps and taking screenshots with F9 during a cut scenes lifts everyones hair up like a sudden breeze just sept through the game ( doesnt effect much, i just found it rather amusing) 

 

so...yeah 

 

and im playing it on 

 

CPU - I7-4790k (OC 4.7ghz)

16Gb Corsair vengeance RAM

GTX 980 OC @ 1417MHz

Asus Maximus VII Hero Motherboard 

 

so not a "low end" rig by any means =/

as you said, the meme is true, so it will keep being used until Ubisoft realises what they have done, or die in a fire. 1 rule, don't piss off sub-reddits, especially the www.reddit.com/r/PcMasterRace one.
