I am new to the forum ...  I am fairly good at system build advice ... I am active in a number of other communities. (I have serious ADHD and a sleeping disorder that keeps me reading and exploring for days on end)

I do not shy away from difficult builds  ... such as builds in other countries where parts are hard to find and and dealing with not so reputable dealers. I like to think that I can get almost anyone into a gaming rig or more serious applications such as video editing , 3d rendering and general productivity rigs for the budget they can afford.... or at least am willing to make the attempt. And Linus impressed me by making it to the top of the mountain with the guys at Teksydicate    lol

And I just wanted to say hello.

Thank you .. sorry if I am not very chatty  ... I am on multiple monitors going in many different directions at the same time  ... so I sometimes fail to respond quickly ... but TY again a

and sorry for the threatening avatar ... but I have had some drive fail and am still trying to salvage my things. and this one amused me while trying to find my mainstay

Bathroom is down the hall to the left, and General Discussion is not for everything. Our resident apple guy has left, so we are always looking for a replacement for Builder to argue with, if that's your thing. 

muh specs 

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I had an apple all in one back in the '90s ... gave it to one of the kids to do their homework on and they threw it in the dumpster ... I did not blame them ...   lol

The Canadian law bit is only to stop people doing really stupid stuff, so as long as you follow the rest of the stuff there and don't do anyting completely stupid, you'll be fine :)

I notice that you've manually done the quotes on the posts above. Just click the quote button in the bottom right of the thread and it will fill it in for you, as well as sending a notification to the member who you quoted.

Also, you see the multiquote button on posts? Please use it. Rather than making 5 posts to reply to 5 different posts, just make one post with a response to each of the posts.
