Buffering videos loads them to RAM, it does not save on your PC. By buffering the whole video, it will store it in RAM cache, and if the video is too long it will make a temporary file for it that gets deleted when you close chrome.

I get that, I was figuring the addon saved something since we all know many of them save stuff when not needed.

Charter is good in areas that are hotspots here.. I have a friend pulling 86/15 at the moment.

I know them feels of running my Internet on a wireless tower and I know some days I can't even use the internet. Sucks living on a road where the only thing that is installed for infrastructure is electric. We don't even have wire ran for even a land line. It's sad. I get charged $70 a month and mostly only get 2Mbps down.

yeah, and then compound that with the fact the towers are overloaded, you get a craptastic connection

That's just the struggles of a wireless internet company but I can't complain too much because they are really my only choice for internet and when you call them its like a 1-2 minute wait to talk to someone to resolve a problem. Great ISP but too expensive.

see for the longest time my ISP had great customer service, which is why I was willing to deal with the unstable internet for a long time, but now it seemed like they thought "wait! we are this town's only option, lets become assholes!"

Hope that doesn't happen too me anytime soon.

There are plenty of ISP's here but only 1 will provide their service to us.

We pay around 35 euro's per month for 2,5mb/ps while someone I know in the city 2 kilometers away pays less and gets 50mb/ps down with HD tv and all that.

Life is unfair.

So many things I could write here... things like this.

Where I live the only options are Telus and Shaw. Both of which suck in their own ways.

Telus used to be waaaay worse, they're actually not bad now, speed wise at least.

I've never had a problem with Shaw. Always been solid.

What are your problems with them?

please don't

Magic actions for youtube (on chrome) allows you to fully prebuffer your videos. This will basically download it to your computer so you can watch it all at once, but then it doesnt use any space because it deletes itself afterwards. Much more convenient than downloading ;)

I love you. I had no idea this existed.
