Anyone still on Sandybridge/-e?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone is still on Sandybridge or Sandybridge -E. I personally run an overclocked 3930k which I absolutely love! And I also have a second rig for when my friends are over which has an overclocked 2600k. They both run amazingly and I just wondered if anyone else was still on it. I still find no need to upgrade and wondered if anyone else had the same idea.

Main Rig: Intel i7 3930k @4.0GHz---8GB Ballistix @1600MHz---Asus P9X79 Pro---Samsung 840 Pro 128GB---3TB HDD Config---2x GTX 780Ti 3GB---Windows 7 Ultimate

Laptop: Late 2012 13" Retina MacBook Pro---2.5GHz Dual i5---8GB DDR3 @1600MHz---128GB PCI-E SSD---Intel HD4000 1GB---OSX 10.10 Yosemite

Phone: Nexus 4

I am on Sandybridge and have no need to get a cpu upgrade.  I run an i5 2500k and heck for the most part don't run it overclocked and it does the job I need it to do.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

My friend just "upgraded" from a 3570k to a 3930k..... By now though a 4790k matches the 3930k so theyre getting fairly obsolete

I would imagine more people were on the "older" platforms than on the newer ones (Haswell+). CPUs haven't required an upgrade as often as GPUs for a while now.

I have a 3770k.

I will only upgrade when the TUF Sabranco gets released. I like my current Sabertooth P67 motherboard too much.

My non-K 2500 is 4 years old, running at 3.8 and I have no short-term intention of replacing it.  I haven't seen it go anywhere near 100% during normal use, so no need to upgrade.

Still running a 2500k and I see no reason to upgrade given that to this day it runs everything decently.

I've switched from i7 3770K Ivy Bridge to i7 4790K because it's the most amazing processor that Intel made in 5 years on mainstream platform.

If you are on old E (X79) Platform, upgrading to Z97 or X99 will give you all the new features like M.2 SSDs, maybe better audio chip, etc. and way better performance for rendering if you go with X99.

If you're on old mainsteam Platform Z87, Z77 and so on, all the i5/i7 gives about the same performance for gaming but going from i5 to i7 gives you more gaming performance and rendering performance. (Many says i7 don't get performance increase in game, it was true few years ago not anymore)

Overclocking your i5/i7 from stock speed to about 4.2, 4.4 or 4.6 Ghz will gives you some serious performance boost for gaming, rendering, etc.

Gaming wise a 2500K still keeps up with the newest stuff, all we get are these little 5% IPC improvements each generation. Sandy-E should be good for at least another 3 years I would think, when DDR4 RAM prices drop and higher memory bandwidth starts being useful in more applications.

i5-2400 here. Not seeing any reason to upgrade yet. Maybe Cannonlake.

i7 2600k here, don't plan to upgrade till maybe the next generation of icores come out, depending on how they perform that is; have not experienced any bottlenecks so far.
