Windows 10 - Technical Preview - Availible NOW - Download Link Here

GoodBytes

Anyone figured out how you can move a Program that is running on Desktop 1 to Desktop 2? (Without closing one desktop)

Go to Task View right click on the window you want moving then in the drop down menu click "Move to" and select the desktop you want.

W10 just seemingly hates me or the Virtual Machine software I run, I don't have a spare SSD or HDD to try it on, so screw it.

What VM software did you try already?

What VM software did you try already?

1. Orcale VM Virtual Box (see one the previous pages for the errors)

2. VMware (which someone else suggested, it just freezes @ 50%)

VMware works for me. I set it to Windows 8 x64 and it installed without any issues.

Have you checked the hash of the ISO? Maybe it is corrupt?

Hmm, if you are running Windows 8 or 8.1 you can try Hyper-V, it is built-in but has to be enabled.

Guide to enable is here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/hyper-v-run-virtual-machines

You can make a partition on your SSD/HDD. And install W10 on it. The setup should detect your other WIndows, and setup a boot option menu that will show everytime you start your system asking you if you want Windows 10 or go to Windows 7/8

What Microsoft should do is call in a press conference with all Gamers and Prosumers around the world and show something really good for gaming and workstation applications. Don't try to make windows pretty man, just make it the best gaming and workstation platform.

Most people don't use their PCs as a game console :)
