Yes I do. I get confused at why some of the people in school who have gaming PCs can't even remember what they bought for it, yet I can rattle off part names as though it's second nature.

Memorization implies some kind of effort.  I just remember them :) That happens naturally with anything you're passionate about or have a lot of experience with, but it does always seem impressive from the outside.

Not exactly a hard thing to do, Like anything  we are enthusiastic about we already know all the different brands and products, so the only thing we have to remember is which product in which PC, which is greatly helped because there is a reason for the pc so we have the added advantage of association e.g we remember it had only 8G of ram because the owner said they weren't doing anything harder than gaming and it was generic corsair because tit was a budget build.

EDIT, just realised I didn't put any full stops (periods) in that sentence, so here they are here: ........

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

and by specifications, I don't mean SKU and model number, I just mean product names and things of that.

I have a friend at school who thinks I'm a wizard because I memorized my brother and I's PC Specifications.

4960X? Dude, 5960X.

I know mine easily, and a the ones I've tinkered with that are owned by others. Usually puts a confused look on non-builder's faces when you start talking about the hardware, especially names/models/etc.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

I try to.

Of course when you built it yourself and you picked all the parts you're gonna know what's in there.

I can remember everything except the cpu cooler for some reason.
