If you research about the parts, analyse them, and compare them, than you'll easily be able to remember them.

If I like it or own it, I can remember it and most of it's specs.

Got myself a Core i5 4670K, stock clocks at 3.4GHz, boost to 3.8GHz, cus I aint got no arftermarket cooler installed.

2x4GB of Corsair Vengeance LP, 1600MHz, CL9.

Seagate Barracuda 1TB, 7,200 RPM.

Gigabyte Z87X-OC Force, all dem PCI-E slots.

Antec HCG-900, 80+ Bronze with no modular cables, which I despised once I was trying to put the system together. Never again shall I by a non-modular PSU.

Also remember my monitor, AOC i2367Fh, 60Hz IPS monitor. No swivel or height adjustment which kills.

I could go into detail about my mining PC too but I've other things to attend to :P

CPU: Intel i7 8700K | CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 | RAM: Kingston HyperX 2x8GB | Motherboard: Asus ROG Z370-E | GPU: MSI GTX 970 | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB & 2TB | SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB & 970 EVO M.2 500GB | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X | PSU: Silverstone Platinum Strider 1100W | Monitor: AOC i2367Fh | Headphones: ATH-M40X | Mic: Antlion ModMic 4 | Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB w/ MX Browns | Mouse: Logitech G502 HERO

Considering how expensive PC parts can be, I definitely remember my specifications. If I shell out $200+ on a single part then it would be really hard for me to forget buying it...

I've had mostly the same setup for two and a half years now. How shit would my memory have to be to not be sure?

Unless you're disnumerate and you can't remember if you've got a 4960 or a 4690. That's Intel's fault :P

what Glen said, this poll is lacking an option to say "it just happens" or "you simply know them" without any need for memorization.

If I tell someone that I built a computer they act surprised then ask what I put in it... (They don't know anything much about hardware) I repeat all the specs then they just saw wow... why didn't you go with Intel?
