Definitely alt tab.

Though I've been using win + arrow keys to snap to sides lately, I kind of like it

I use & create quite a bit of custom hotkeys that fit my workflow. BTT is pretty great tool for custom hotkeys since it allows application specific hotkeys & macros, binding hotkeys to menubar items etc.

Systen hotkeys:

  • Cmd + tab = switch applications
  • Cmd + tilde = switch windows
  • Ctrl + space = open Alfred dialog box
  • Cmd + H
  • Cmd + Q
  • Cmd + W
  • Cmd + C
  • Cmd + V

Application switching:

  • Ctrl + F = Finder
  • Ctrl + S = Spotify
  • Ctrl + C = Chromium
  • Ctrl + T = Terminal
  • Ctrl+I = Illustrator
  • Ctrl+P = Pixelmator

Window management with Divvy

  • Opt + q,w,e,r,t,y,a,s,d,f,g,h,z,x,c,v,b,n,1,2,3,4 will resize the window to a specific size. Dragging windows around and resizing them from the corners seems archaic at this point.
  • Opt + W = opens Divvy panel (and when opened, it can have it's own non-global hotkeys)

etc.
