GTX 980 & 970 Pricing Leaked, $700 And $430 Respectively.

Well its a 980, not a 980ti. It has far less ROPs and texture units than the 780ti. Also from the leaked benchmarks, it performs between the 780 and 780ti. Also I heard several comments from some place idk that it is supposed to be better than the 780 but not the 780ti.

According to the guy from tech of 2mr forum, the leak info about 980, it is better than 780ti in the benchmark, while 970 is better than the 780.

Surprised no one pointed out the wrong use of "respectively" in the title.

Respectively means "in the order given." The usage is fine.

Incorrect use of respectively, the pricing has to be the same order you originally listed them >.>

Interesting pricing, but it's based on converting from a foreign currency to USD, which isn't always reliable.

Hmmm, something seems amiss here, either the price or performance are almost certainly incorrect. If they were both right it wouldn't make any sense at all.

EDIT: I just clicked on your link, (I wont hate on WCCF, you have gotten enough of that already) but it now says $399 and $499 respectively. Not $700

If my math is corrrecty 1664 on 1st generation maxwell should have the performance of less then a 780.  my assumption is 2nd generation maxwell has 40% more performance per core over kepler. While 1920 cores only will be pretty much in the range of a titan.

Flagship will still have 2560 cores and should performance like a 3584 kepler chip minus a bit.

Nvidia  you're staring to disappoint me, launching the chip at 599$ would have brought in more money for pretty much anyone. but 699$ is just way too much now. oh well the 970 is still a good buy!

A leak, yeah nothing gets "leaked", if information gets available companies WANT it to be available...

Also seems quite expensive, and that card on the image seems small...

you know, i would pay 600$/649$ for a 780, so yeah, you need a US price for these people. althought zotac seems like a pretty cheap brand in tems of pricing :P

The 780ti is less than $600 so I highly doubt this card (which supposedly performs worse) will cost over $700.

where the heck are you finding a 780 ti for less than $600

Would like to know that too, when you find one, mail me one will ya? ^_^

They start at €650 here, which would result in $840.

I'm hoping the "leaked news" isn't true, because those are some steap prices sadly enough.

Below is one under $600

This is the US though, but I didn't specify region so I'll accept the find. I think the lowest one in CA that I can find is $620 after mail in rebate. If one goes below $600 in Canada, my rig will be getting an addition.

Ofcourse it had to be Newegg.... they won't ship to Belgium sadly enough, thank you for the find though. Enjoy the new addition to your rig if you're able to find one in Canada.

prices seems way off base to me..they must be mad! on top of similar base performance current gen similar price wise and for sure one or two extra features is just insane... guess i will be skipping another launch or just maybe just maybe slap in a 290 at half price that's stills beat the shit out of the 900 series in price performance numbers

Nvidia must really stop smoking weed  :D

The GTX 750 Ti has lower clock speed, lower memory bandwidth, fewer stream processors, and fewer texture units than the GTX 650 Ti, but performs much better.

That's because its the ti, successor to the 650ti.

Obviously the 750 does not perform better than the 650ti.

In this case we're talking about 980 vs 780ti. I would expect a 980ti to perform better, but a 980 to perform worse.

I'm just saying, the # of SPUs, TAUs, etc. aren't really indicative of real world performance.

Also, the GTX 750 does outperform the GTX 650 Ti, albeit by a small margin. Just like the GTX 760 outperforms the GTX 660 Ti, and the GTX 770 outperforms the GTX 680. They usually roughly match or slightly outperform the previous generation's tier above.
