I just bought a mini Displayport cable and USB hub with switches. Doesn't seem very exciting but it allows me to keep my HTC Vive plugged in ready to go at all times and I can turn it off with the hub. Now I just need a wall mount for the HMD and controllers and I can enter VR almost instantly and with virtually (ha) no effort. The dream.

Now anyone have suggestions for a wall mount for the HMD+controllers?

Need something like this but maybe a bit better looking and not 3d printed.

They're basically DSLR's without an optical viewfinder.

Ah.  Does that make it harder to use in bright sunlight?

I've liked having an optical viewfinder on cameras I've owned in case the screen wasn't an option.

Though now now that I think about it I haven't used an optical viewfinder in a very long time.  ?

From my experience, mirrorless just show exactly what the sensor sees, usually on an LCD screen or an OLED viewfinder.

This also means you can get more info on the same screen in case you need to see what you're adjusting.

I have a translucent mirror camera and I have shot on some mirrorless ones.

BTW, feel free to add/correct, this is from what I've experienced with a couple of Sony and Canon cameras.

Sorry.  I meant in terms of it being hard to see what's on a lcd/led screen when it's too bright where you're using it.

Like if I wanted to use my phone in outside when it's really bright and sunny I'd need to turn up the brightness or it's impossible to see what's on my phone screen.

My concern would be if the screen is the only way to aim the camera then it could be an issue if the screen isn't easy to use in bright sunlight for example.

Most cameras nowadays have an LCD/OLED viewfinder, which is enclosed so that's all you can see - I've used mine under bright light and it's been fine (I generally avoid the main LCD panel).

The cooling backed by the performance.  Everyone was bragging about Zotac's AMP 980ti and Galax beat it in terms of performance.  They're praised for their cards, but they're not the most known brand out there.  Their HOF cards are insane.  They're literally designed to beat all other cards in their category.

http://www.galax.com/en/graphics-card/hof/galax-geforce-gtx-980-ti-hof-ln2.html

A bit hard to find I'd say.  I don't think Amazon or Newegg carry Galax cards and defintely not those HOF cards I'm pretty sure.

You have to order them from Galax before they sell out cuz the extreme OCers buy them quickly to test against Zotac and EVGAs.

Or you could try to find them under their alter ego (probably just for the EU/UK) of KFA2.

I kind of wouldn't mind one of those HoF cards to play around with but it sounds like they're almost impossible to get and especially in the US.

I assume these cards are crazy overpriced due to the rarity too.

No prizes for guessing what these will be used for.

Sticking to 4 GPUs for now, room for 1 more before I need to resort to full-on mining racks rather than cases.

Was thinking about getting another 1060 right away, but I'm probably gonna hold out for that new mining card Nvidia should be releasing soon.

Cool.

World of Final Fantasy is like that too though I haven't tried it yet.  Partly because I need to check if I have enough free space on my Vita memory card ro install WoFF.

It said on the back of the Vita game case that it needs either about 3GB or 3.5GB.

I was like: why does it need so much space?...  ?

Yeah..  Just from the titles it doesn't really imply there's two games in the series.  Both are good IMO.

Yes! I personally traveled 1700km just to buy this particular model of SSD since computer stores in my city don't sell this model. My number 1 SSD choice will always be Samsung

Maybe I should add a /s, I already know LTT forums aren't going to fuzz about it. I like ClariS too and I absolutely love this album, so much that I bought the FLAC 24bit digital edition and this LE physical copy

Btw, I buy those from Amazon.jp. Have to pay quite more because I used a shipping service from my country. Next time I'll ask Amazon to ship the CD by myself

Not to be mean but it's gamers' desire for high-end cards that's making it hard for us miners to get cards.  You can play and have fun with an RX460 or a GTX960 just fine, all you need to do is reduce the resolution and/or graphics settings. ?

As for fun, I could have a lot of extra fun if I could get my hands on 580s instead.  The 1070 costs almost twice as much and generates less profit, so I now have much less money to have fun with.

Just kidding.  I do get the sentiment, but those cards generate over $300 every month at the current rates.  You can't expect people to just ignore that profit so that someone they don't know can play a game every now and then.

The store had plenty more 1070s (all Inno3D, 3-slot or watercooled though) and a bunch of 1060s, so it's not like I bought their entire inventory.

Getting on the Ethereum hype.

How do you mine ethereum?  I've heard of using NiceHash but that's like indirect mining.  I'm curious how people mining ethereum do it directly without an intermediary program like NiceHash.

That's the board with extra PCIE slots for putting several mining GPUs on right?

The primary manufacturer intended use is gaming so sorry miners but you're using it incorrectly.  ?

Reducing settings when needed is ok but it's nice not to have to if you can afford a better card.

Maybe not by yourself but miners in general are collectively ruining the GPU market.  Causing severe shortages and price hikes that aren't fair to gamers who just want a shiny new card.  *insert puppy dog eyes face here*

How would they make that much?

I started giving NiceHash a try using my 1080 ti and it seems like I'm getting nowhere fast.

I've left it running most of the last few days while I'm awake, not 24/7 I mean, but still with a powerful card like I have it still seems like it isn't earning anywhere near what I'd expect.

I'm just doing this to try it out and using a single card I already have but so far I'm not seeing much benefit.

 Edit:. Added picture.

I was reading earlier that a lot of physical stores are liquidating their Vita related items because Sony has pretty much abandoned the platform.  There were pictures of 32 and 64gb memory cards for more than 50% off as well as the games being sold for dirt cheap.

I am going to start looking in some of these places to include lamestop to see about getting a larger memory card, because i am in the same boat as you.

thankfully a hacked PSTV can use an external USB drive in lieu of a memory card.  So i put most of the stuff on there, and the stuff i'd like to play on the go on the vita.
