I'll slap u mister. :P

 

 

 

I was actually planning on getting some quick disconnects and making it so I can hang my radiator outside my window in the winter, I should be able to get 10-15c load temps with ease!

 

And it's OK I don't mind the changing around of paste, I need to do some stuff to my CPU anyways, I got a bad IHS mount after I delidded and 3 of my cores are way hotter than the other one.  I'm probably going to order some CLU metal paste for the die on my CPU and re-mount my IHS.  That should drop my CPU temps another 5c or so.

 

 

 

Also guys I'm probably going to skylake once it comes out, like a month afterwards probably.

lap your IHS if you did not all ready, this may be a reason for temp difference on your cores as well.

That's not at all why my temps are like this, it's because I have a bad mount, probably because I didn't clean off the black shit off the PCB & IHS before remounting.

 

Also I'm not lapping my IHS, I'm re-selling the CPU to buy skylake.

Ordered the fans, should be here by like Thursday or Friday

 

so cheap, yet so good!

 

They have like 90 CFM, & 3mm h2o static pressure, for only $3.95 a fan WITH sleeved cables!

Radiator has fans now, but the dam wires aren't long enough.

 

I gotta buy some extensions now to get it all fixed and properly routed.

 

Winter is coming soon, I will be able to hang that radiator outside, or put it in my window sill for super low temps!

 

 

Right now my GPU load temp hits 32-33C in firestrike when my ambient is 24C, so 8-9C above ambient temps. (I only saw it spike up to 33c for like 10 seconds, so I think 8 degrees above ambient is a more realistic assumption)

 

I am going to put "Thermal Grizzly" thermal paste on my GPU next, it is basically THE BEST paste on the market right now, other than the Liquid metal stuff.

If you have a window close by and it snows where you live in Winter, put your rad out the window. I wanna see dem sxc temps.

you know if you manage to get load temps under 20c then you won't be able to enter ambient competitions on oc esports :P

What motherboard are you going for Skylake? Also you could get a Xeon E3-1241 V5 as Skylake is BCLK on locked chips.

yes. still funny though, because thats 20c is to stop people using chilled water that is below sub 0 yet you might be able to pull of under 20c without going sub 0 :P

Asrock OC Formula most likely, as they've been stellar and basically the front runner for the last few gens in terms of memory tweaking & CPU oc'ing.

Dang dude you crazy. Seriousely though what OC you get?

I got up to 5.3 Ghz on the core and 5.2 Ghz on the cache with RAM at 2800 mhz 9-12-12-17 for an Intel XTU benchmark. Got a 1371 score which is the highest on dry ice for a 4770k!

I'm gonna try again today or tomorrow, I didn't get a good mount on the pot so my cpu wasn't getting as cold as it should of.

Next step for the build, I'll be getting a Dimastech "Mini" test bench, so I can continue doing Subzero stuff with ease.

 

I WILL make it look really nice, my custom cables will still be used.  

 

 

Also depending on how much the 980 TI Matrix is when it comes out, I will picking be it up if it's $100 cheaper than the 980 TI Kingpin probably.

Btw I did DICE again, and before you asked what OC I got, this time I got a max of 5856 mhz for a "Superpi" benchmark run :D

There's LOADS of competition for older CPU's like 775 stuff on hwbot, you don't need the highest end stuff to compete :D
