[Finished] The Renewal - 1080mm rad, 6700k, Z170 Asrock OC Formula, 980 Ti Matrix

Lays

Temporary Solution.

I don't have a radiator yet, hence why I said I'd have to order it with quick shipping so I can get it when the radiator shows up.

I need to re-arrange my cables in the back to fix my PCI-E cables, one of em is really tight so it doesn't line up with the other one.

CPU block shows up on monday, then that will be added in!

Also I have to go to home depot or Lowe's this week, and pick up everything I need to mount the radiator under the desk properly, for now it's ghetto!! It's just resting on top of my old R4 with 3 fans sitting on it lmao!

I will be buying more fans for it when I get some spare money.  For now though, GPU load temps are 7-8c above ambient!!!

It's basically done, I have to wait for GPU cables to dry coz I got a bunch of water on them :(  Got SSD's a bit wet but they're both ok, I'm going to leave them in the back half of the case, on the off chance the reservoir ever drips again, I've gotten it as tight as it'll go, and no more signs of leak.

I can just use stock GPU cables for now, but it'll look ugly :(   I need to wait an hour on the off chance the GPU got a tiny bit of water on it, but it didn't look like it since I had paper towels everywhere.

I need to flush the loop in a few days, I'm going to run sysprep in it to get all the gunk out, then re-fill with distilled water in a few days.

I think I may need to remount my block, or fix my IHS.

(CPU is delidded)   I may have gotten a bad IHS mount from die to IHS, or bad mount on the waterblock.

There's still a big air bubble in the top left of CPU waterblock, need to figure out how to get that out and then top off my reservoir more, to keep the air bubbles out.

2 of my cores are 10c hotter, so it's either waterblock, or IHS to die.

That is impressive. EXTREMELY impressive. Now if only I had the Money for anything other than the 212 EVO...

Well done, I was so shocked when I saw that 35C.

I think the temp may go down a tiny bit extra, I only have 5 mix-matched fans on the radiator right now, and I need to order a whole matching set of 9 fans.

I'm also going to switch my thermal paste to Thermal Grizzly, which should be ~1 degree better than what I use now (gelid GC extreme)   Thermal Grizzly is the new king of the castle next to Coolabs liquid metal TIM.

Right now I seem to be 9-11C above ambient for my load temps, I think with better paste & those full set of fans it should be ~7-9c.

If I were you I wouldn't bother to be honest. Don't know about winters in Oregon, but imagine if the ambient was 0C.... 10C overclocked load GPU. Wait, am I dreaming?

I was actually planning on getting some quick disconnects and making it so I can hang my radiator outside my window in the winter, I should be able to get 10-15c load temps with ease!

And it's OK I don't mind the changing around of paste, I need to do some stuff to my CPU anyways, I got a bad IHS mount after I delidded and 3 of my cores are way hotter than the other one.  I'm probably going to order some CLU metal paste for the die on my CPU and re-mount my IHS.  That should drop my CPU temps another 5c or so.

Also guys I'm probably going to skylake once it comes out, like a month afterwards probably.
