Damn it really is sexy.

 

I'd still personally get the 8 dimm version instead, dat WAM

 

 

I'd prefer better ram overclockability over having 128GB of ram lol, but I love pushing hardware to it's limits so that's just me xD

you are never really going to need more than 64gb of ram and if you did an overclocking board like this is a really bad option. super micro make a good x99 board and the asus ws is good too.

but you can get 8gb and 16gb sticks. by having 32gb on 8 dimm slots your just stressing the imc for no reason

TBH DDR4 16gb kits are already super cheap, there's a corsair LP kit that's like 2133 mhz DDR4 4x4GB for $130 on newegg I believe.

Yea, it's at DDR3 pricing from when DDR4 launched.

 

But i'm thinking cheaper, imagine what 2gb DDR3 sticks go for now. It's kind of unrealistic, but so is me upgrading to X99

I love the SOC champion so far, my only big complaint is the official fancy "Smart tweak HD" or whatever their fancy UEFI BIOS is, it is REALLY REALLY laggy when I use my mouse, and also kind of buggy, lots of random artifacting and stuff on the buttons.

I use their "classic" mode now,  this is basically what it looks like.

The fancy mode is pretty terrible on the UP7. Granted it is an older board but it looks horrible.

Those thermaltake fans are actually pretty decent, they seem a bit better than SP120 quiet editions.

i always use classic mode where possible. its mostly better and more stable :)

@VSG should get a plugin that could toggle fans on and off the charts. It's getting a bit cluttered lol.
