NEC 24inch IPS 4K monitor

GoodBytes

NEC announces their turn at 4K IPS monitor.

Identically to the Dell UP2414Q, the NEC EA244UHD 24inch monitor has serious punch behind it.

The monitor is a 3840x2160 4K 16:9 monitor, using an AH-IPS panel, and includes:

 -> Wide gamut with 99.3% of Adobe RGB coverage, and 100% of RGB

 -> Uses GB-LED back lit (Green and Blue LEDs put very close together with a layer of red phosphor on top to output a more true white over standard white LEDs)

 -> 6ms response time (gray-to-gray, of course)

 -> 350 cd/m2 brightness

As input is comes with:

 -> 2x DisplayPort

 -> 1x HDMI

 -> 1x MHL

 -> 2x DVI-D Single-link (1080p 60Hz max resolution)

 -> 3x port USB 3.0

 -> Picture-in-Picture

 -> Integrated speakers (no info on them)

 -> DDC/CI protocol support

If you want to get an idea of 4K on 24inch at 100% DPI in Windows. Check out the Surface Pro 1, 2, or 3, at 100% DPI, and you'll get a good idea. the size of the pixels is about the same Personally, I have no problem reading text at this size. I think it's perfect. But yes, ideally 150% DPI will give a mix of smoother and easier to read text, nicer looking graphics, and larger work area. A nice compromise, assuming your software are high DPI aware.

@GoodBytes Just trying to help, don't you mean 100% of RGB coverage? There's a dollar sign there.

But this looks FANTASTIC :) Glad to see more IPS love when it comes to 4K announcements  :D

Looks really nice but I don't see the point in getting any monitor that doesn't have either G-Sync or DP 1.2a. The screen tearing at 4k is terrible.
