NEW Corsair Carbide Air 240 PICS !

New pics of the new Air 240 are up on Corsair's Facebook page and we get some more details of the interior and some incredibly awesome features.

As we knew, it comes in both a black and a white version.

IMHO it's actually more awesome than the Air 540.

My favorite feature is the HDD cage accessible from the back. F**king awesome !!!

The full length side vent looks lovely and clean especially on the white version.

Cool. This is completely off-topic, but the red wires in the first pic reminds me of Gundam Nadleeh's "hair".

First pic looks like red tentacle rape. Removable drives from the back is a pretty bad idea if the plastic mounting breaks.

I love the 3.5 drive cage I the second compartment. That would be the only real update from the air 540 i can see besides the sides.

As opposed to the plastic mounts breaking on the inside? What would the difference? It's covered by a metal thingy so it won't be visible.

Personally i'd probably use it as sort of a hot swap, even tho it's not. :D

looks cool, but a real PITA to use, undo rear i/o guard, remove the right side panel,

undo the pwr/data cables and then slide drive(s) out.

Looks nice but still I'd prefer the Enthoo Evolv. But it's cute! Thanks for sharing.

You'd have to still open it up to get access to the cables and hell the drives can fall out if the mounting breaks.

Yeah but if you're someone who swaps drives often you can leave the back guard out and and middle bracket empty for some extended cables and only use two drives. and presto: Improvised hot-swap! :D

And if you don't intend to use it that way it'l only take slightly longer to get to your drives. Also there's another cage in the back besides this one.

Hey look, another Corsair case with AIO watercooling in mind, and limited air cooling support. Such a coincidence lol.

Also it's about damn time Corsair. What took so long? You've already designed and shown it off. A couple images aren't difficult to release.

Yeah, I love that case too, but it doesn't have this much space for watercooling. I guess you buy according to your needs.

But yeah, the Enthoo Evolv. is a freaking awesome case.  :)

Because the air 540 sucked at air cooling? The air 540 is the best air cooling case on the market.

If you don't wanna do that it will indeed take a tad longer to get to your drives. Keep in mind tho that it has another drive cage.

Actually, about the same watercooling space or more, but not less.   :)

Fair enough, but the Air 240 is more compact  :P

Ooo my mouth is watering already. . . I made a few threads recently about how I'm disappointed with M ATX cases atm, but that Phanteks one certainly looks to fit the bill. . . Probably gonna be expensive but I will pull the trigger if I can

I know what you mean by the lack of good M ATX cases out there. I want a affordable M ATX for my secondary PC and there's nothing out there that I really like and that fits my budget.

I hope that's a removable dust filter on the right side panel.

I read somewhere that the estimated price for the Evolv will be around $130 usd.

CPU clearance on this thing will be tiny. Can video cards with taller heatsinks even fit in this thing?
